Nicole Scherzinger Stuns as Betty Boop at Broadway Premiere in Striped Mini Dress!

Over the weekend, I couldn’t help but feel like a walking, talking, and dancing spitting image of Betty Boop herself as I graced the red carpet for the premiere of the musical based on her legendary character! It was an unforgettable experience that had me feeling more animated than ever.

On Saturday evening, the 46-year-old performer (both an actress and a singer) attended the premiere of BOOP! alongside Katharine McPhee Foster in New York City.

The 46-year-old singer accentuated her look with a bold red lip, reminiscent of her character, and extended her eyelashes to match the dramatic length of Betty’s lashes.

Additionally, Nicole adopted a similar persona by wearing a form-fitting minidress that was both black and white, highlighting her physique, a style reminiscent of her time as a member of the Pussycat Dolls.

Nicole carefully pulled her hair into a neat bun, ensuring that attention was drawn to her captivating makeup while she elegantly posed on the red carpet outside The Broadhurst Theatre.

At the recent gathering, I found myself surrounded by esteemed individuals, among them was the dynamic duo – Katharine, age 41, and her venerable spouse David, aged 75.

David Foster composed music for a play that’s built around an animated character’s narrative.

First staged in Chicago in 2023, “Boop! The Musical” kicked off its debut on Broadway during this past weekend’s performance.

Over time, it’s clear that Nichole harbors a deep affection for musical theater, and she has showcased this passion by taking part in numerous well-known productions such as Cats and Sunset Boulevard.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t help but share my admiration for the timeless charm of Betty Boop. Over nearly a century, she’s captivated hearts and sparked enthusiasm globally with her distinct appearance, voice, and panache.

Currently, in the setting of BOOP!, Betty’s simple wish for a day free from stardom in her monochrome existence transforms into an unparalleled journey brimming with color, melodies, and affection, unfolding in the vibrant cityscape of New York.

‘One that reminds her and the world, “You are capable of amazing things.”‘

As David Foster shared with PEOPLE about the play, he expressed that despite having an abundance of blessings in her life, there remains a yearning in her heart for a cause or discovery that truly resonates and stirs her passion.

‘And if you see the play, you’ll understand.’

David’s glittering career has seen him obtain an impressive 40 hits on Billboard Top 100.

The musician has also worked on other musicals including Dreamgirls, for which he won a Grammy.

Katherine, his wife, also has a strong connection with the musical realm. In fact, she reached the second place in the fifth season of American Idol back in 2006.

After that point, she has achieved success not just in the field of music, but also in acting. Her acting resume includes The House Bunny among other projects.

In 2018, she launched her career on Broadway with the musical “Waitress,” and ever since then, she’s also graced the stages of London’s West End.

Regardless of a 35-year difference between her and David, she’s shared that this gap hasn’t been an issue for them, although it has occasionally caused friction in decisions concerning the upbringing of their son, born in 2021.
