Nicole Scherzinger ‘lands Las Vegas residency’ after Pussycat Doll scoops Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for Sunset Boulevard

Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly heading for Las Vegas after her award-winning success on Broadway.

Previously known as a member of the Pussycat Dolls, now aged 45, is reportedly discussing preliminary plans for a residency in Sin City, after receiving the award for Best Actress in a Musical at the Tonys for her role in Sunset Boulevard.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about the remarkable Nicole. This year, she’s been making dreams come true, with a triumphant conquest of Broadway and a well-earned Tony Award to show for it. However, instead of taking a break during her peak career years, when demand for her talent is skyrocketing, Nicole shows no signs of slowing down. She’s determined to keep pushing boundaries and making magic happen on the stage.

In other words, they mentioned that preliminary talks had taken place, and she expressed a strong desire to emulate her role model, Celine Dion, by performing at the legendary Caesars Palace in The Colosseum, much like how Celine Dion did.

Should the residency occur, Nicole will be part of an exceptional roster this year alongside Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson, and Jennifer Lopez.

The anticipated Las Vegas performance might mirror the structure of her upcoming Carnegie Hall show in October, encompassing a complete live band and a playlist blending popular Broadway tunes with top pop songs.

TopMob has contacted Nicole’s reps for comment.

In 2023, her initial portrayal of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard took place in London. Later, the production moved to Broadway, garnering her not only a Tony Award but also a Laurence Olivier Award.

Andreew Lloyd Webber, the composer, later referred to her as ‘an exceptionally talented actress-singer, one who fearlessly tackles my pieces, both musically and dramatically speaking.’

Following the Tony Awards last Sunday, Nicole shared an Instagram video showcasing her live performance of a number from Sunset Boulevard during the event itself.

In her enthusiastic post, she expressed that it was a long-held dream of hers to perform the song ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’.

I’m writing this heartfelt message to the stage, but if you have a profound affection for your craft, then it’s also meant for you.

she expressed: “It’s truly an honor to perform this song for a community that has supported and uplifted me throughout. I remain eternally thankful.

In her speech after receiving the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for playing Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, Nicole expressed: ‘Growing up, I often felt out of place, but you’ve all made me feel at home, and now, I truly feel like I’ve returned to where I belong.’

Later, she acknowledged her fiancé Thom Evans, mentioning that he has faith in me even when I lose faith in myself.

She additionally expressed: “It’s such an honor to be acknowledged among these remarkable female warriors in this group. I can’t express enough gratitude for helping make this dream of a small girl from Hawaii, Ukraine, or the Philippines a reality. I feel incredibly proud to represent.

Following her expression of gratitude towards her family, she expressed thanks towards composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, saying, “It’s truly been an honor to collaborate with you for the past fifteen years.

Nicole has astonishingly achieved the title of Broadway’s leading lady, a feat that once appeared unattainable for the ex-Pussycat Doll. Just a short while back, such an accolade would have seemed unlikely.

After her unsuccessful solo singing venture post-pop group disbandment in 2010, and a public feud with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, her stage career seemed destined for failure – yet she still acknowledged him in her recent performance.

Approximately nine years ago, the ex-member of Pussycat Dolls abruptly left her role in the Broadway version of “Cats” at the eleventh hour to accept a large sum for judging on ITV’s X Factor. Lord Webber was enraged and stated emphatically that she would never receive a Tony Award as a result.

Lord Webber expressed his frustration, saying, “I’m extremely angry because I truly think she’s an exceptionally gifted young woman, and I took a risk for her… But it’s all right, there will be another talented girl on Broadway, and Nicole won’t receive her Tony Award.

After receiving outstanding praise for his Sunset Boulevard performance, Nicole has emerged as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s radiant gem on Broadway. Not only has he retracted his earlier criticisms, but he has now enthusiastically supported her.

Apart from that, she’s been featured in the movie “Men in Black 3”, lent her voice for the character in “Disney’s Moana”, and graced the stages in performances of “Rent” and “Cats”.
