Nicole Murphy Flashes Abs on Date with Basketball Star in West Hollywood

Nicole Murphy was spotted out with a hunky basketball star in West Hollywood this week.

56-year-old ex-basketball player Dontaye Draper, aged 40, departed from popular celebrity hangout The Nice Guy, appearing unable to resist physical contact with another person.

Last year, Nicole, standing tall even alongside the 5 ft 11 in Michael Jordan’s son Marcus, was spotted, flaunting her impressive abs in a stylish, cropped black-and-white Givenchy letterman-style jacket that accentuated her physique.

She paired the top with black pants and large silver hoop earrings.  

They appeared to be enjoying themselves tremendously, sharing hearty laughs and displaying affectionate gestures, until he escorted her to her vehicle, whereupon he took a seat next to her in the passenger side.

Nicole’s red handbag appeared to be a Birkin, and she wore black mid-calf boots. 

Draper wore a light-green hoodie with black jeans and a black ball cap worn backward.

The outing comes months after Nicole’s boyfriend, actor Warren Braithwaite, died.

Essence reported that Braithwaite died in March 2024 following a cancer diagnosis.

At that moment, the model posted the news on her Instagram Stories, accompanying a picture of herself and her deceased partner with this message: “Oh, how I long for you, my dear love. May you find eternal peace, my sweetheart.

I miss you so much, it’s tough not being able to hear your voice or see your face. You meant the whole universe to me,” she went on.

After remaining quiet since Warren’s unfortunate passing, Nicole expressed that their five children with ex-spouse Eddie Murphy deeply loved him.

Apart from expressing this openly, she underscored that she held no remorse for tending to him during his last moments, stating instead that it was crucial to stand by him at the times when it truly counted.

‘He was worth taking care of,’ she told Atlanta Black Star in October. 

During his hospital stay, I chose to remain by his side. For a total of 14 days, I shared a bed with him. It felt as if I too had fallen ill when he did, saying, “If you’re unwell, so am I.

In July 2023, Nicole made it public that she is in a relationship with Braithwaite on Instagram. Later, in September 2023, he accompanied her as her date to the wedding of her son, Myles.

Nicole was married to Eddie Murphy from 1993 to 2005. 

The exes share 32-year-old son Myles, and daughters Bria, 35, Shayne, 30, Zola, 24, and Bella, 22. 

In December, only a few months prior to his passing, Nicole posted a picture showing her and Braithwaite cozied up on the dance floor.

‘We both are not perfect, but we are perfect for each other my love. ♥️,’ she captioned the post.

The duo additionally enjoyed the Super Bowl together in Las Vegas, and they were seen at the Doo-Wop All-R&B Soul Music Festival.

Recently, Nicole has been spotted getting close to Marcus Jordan, who is 34 years old, and the son of basketball great Michael Jordan.

Marcus is best known for dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa Pippen, 50,  for a year and a half. 

Speculation started swirling as people tried to find a link between them after they were both present at DJ Khaled’s 2nd Annual We the Best Foundation x Jordan Golf Classic held in Miami.

They were spotted on the dance floor and sitting next to each other in a booth. 

The pair didn’t limit their fun to golf; instead, they carried it over to notorious Club e11even in Miami, where they were said to have danced well into the morning hours, specifically 6 a.m., indicating that they were indeed enjoying themselves quite a bit, according to the source.
