Nicole Kidman reveals advice she gave daughter Sunday, 16, before runway debut at Paris Fashion Week

As a woman who has navigated through the tumultuous waters of Hollywood and emerged as a successful actress, I can empathize with Nicole Kidman’s emotional journey watching her daughter, Sunday Rose, make her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. Just like me, Nicole faced skepticism and criticism when she started out in her career, and it’s heartening to see her standing by her daughter through the same challenges.

Nicole Kidman shared the motivational advice she gave to her 16-year-old daughter, Sunday, prior to her first time strutting down the catwalk.

The well-known actress who is 57 years old has two daughters with her country music artist spouse, Keith Urban. Their names are Faith Margaret, aged 13, and Sunday Rose.

In my own life, I’m blessed to be a parent to two wonderful adults, Isabella, aged 31, and Connor, who is 29. These remarkable individuals were brought into our family through adoption, along with my former spouse, Tom Cruise.

I had the uncontainable excitement as I strutted my stuff on the runway for the very first time during this month’s Paris Fashion Week, representing none other than the legendary Miu Miu!

Currently, Nicole has disclosed the counsel she imparted to her daughter prior to Sunday’s performance in the French capital, as she spoke with E! News.

Nicole explained, “I said, ‘Go for it!’, aiming to provide her with some personal space instead of being intrusive or dominating.

She described her own feelings about Sunday’s runway debut as ‘Incredibly proud and supportive’ adding she hoped to ‘Just there for her. Just being a mom.’

Nicole didn’t make it to the Miu Miu fashion show itself, but she was spotted enjoying a loving moment with her daughter at the brand’s afterparty that night.

Following her appearance on the Miu Miu runway on Sunday, she faced widespread criticism online due to her stern facial expression, aggressive walk, and being labeled as a ‘nepo baby.’

One suggested, ‘Perhaps you should consider painting or acting instead. It seems she’s not meant for modeling,’ while another questioned, ‘Why on earth would you want to be a model when there are so many other fascinating activities available?’

A third observer remarked, “The sound of heels echoing against the floor is clear,” while a fourth exclaimed, “Let’s stop employing average-looking individuals with connections and instead seek out the breathtakingly beautiful, yet unsung talents from underdeveloped regions.

‘She’s trying so hard to look fierce but just looks like a petulant child stomping their feet,’ another social media commentator observed.

In addition to Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s child, Amelia Hamlin, it was also Sting and Trudy Styler’s daughter, Eliot Sumner, who graced the Miu Miu runway.

As a lifestyle aficionado, allow me to share that I recently noticed some high-profile figures strutting their stuff on the runway. Among them were the accomplished actress Hilary Swank and the jet-setting supermodel Cara Delevingne.

Immediately following the event, we received exclusive information from a source that Nicole had been disheartened due to the negative comments about her child that she encountered online afterwards.

‘When Nicole got her initial acting gig, she was the same age as Sunday; it was suggested to her at that time to explore a different path instead.’ (This version aims to convey the original meaning in simpler language while maintaining clarity and coherence.)

‘Nicole encountered numerous rejections, as she didn’t have well-known parents to help her gain access; this means she can comprehend the criticism, yet it saddens her since it brings back memories of the struggles she endured during her early career.’

In the end, Nicole and Keith are incredibly proud of their daughter and are allowing her to follow her unique journey. The guidance she offers her daughter is the very same advice she follows – avoiding social media. They’ll be there to back her up no matter which route she decides to take.
