The news of a possible separation between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, after nearly 20 years of marriage, has surprised many in the entertainment industry. It’s caused quite a stir among those who follow celebrity news. Fans are shocked by the reports.
The 58-year-old Oscar winner and the 57-year-old musician haven’t been able to spend much time together recently because of their busy work schedules – she was filming, and he was on tour. A source said Nicole was completely surprised and upset by the separation, feeling like it came out of nowhere.
Just a few days before the announcement, Nicole seemed cheerful and satisfied while at the Cle de Peau event in Los Angeles, where she was presented as the brand’s new ambassador.
She looked stunning in a tight-fitting black dress and posed for many photos, seemingly unbothered by problems in her marriage.
The announcement of their separation follows closely after Nicole celebrated almost twenty years of marriage with Urban. She posted a touching message to the country singer on what would have been their 19th wedding anniversary.
To celebrate the special day, the Big Little Lies star shared a lovely black and white photo of a tender moment they had together behind the scenes at one of his performances.

In the picture, the Academy Award-winning actress has her arm around her husband’s shoulders, and he is holding her hand. It’s a loving and affectionate pose.
The happy couple both closed their eyes as Kidman rested her forehead against Urban’s head.
She wrote, ‘Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban,’ as the caption for her post. It quickly gained over 25,023 likes – all within an hour.
Within minutes, the Somebody Like You hitmaker commented a single red heart emoji.
The couple got married in 2006 with a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Cardinal Cerretti Chapel in Sydney, her hometown.
Kidman and Urban married five years after her split from actor Cruise.
She welcomed Sunday in July 2008 and Faith via surrogate two years later.
Regarding their separation, a source revealed: ‘Keith rarely gets to see Nicole, as she’s often filming and he’s frequently on tour. While there’s still a lot of affection between them and divorce isn’t necessarily certain, they lead very separate lives where they don’t really share the same world.‘

Keith and Nicole have been a couple for many years, and while it’s possible for them to find their way back to each other, their current relationship isn’t functioning as a partnership anymore.
Nicole and Tom Cruise, 63, were married for 11 years, from 1990 until 2001. During their marriage, they adopted two children: Isabella, now 32, and Conor, 30.
The Australian actress and her husband, Urban, were last seen together in public in June. They were photographed at a FIFA World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee.
The country singer has been touring the world with his High and Alive World Tour for most of the year. He’s scheduled to perform in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Thursday.
Nicole Kidman and her children have stayed in Nashville, at the $4 million property the couple owns.
According to TMZ, Keith has purchased a home in Nashville and is no longer living with his family. The report surfaced on Monday, stating that he’s moved out of their shared residence.
During the summer months, the actress and her children lived in England while she worked on the follow-up to her 1998 film, Practical Magic. She reportedly spent £65,000 (around $87,000) per month to rent a lavish home in Hampstead that previously belonged to singer Boy George.
While the London move was for work, it certainly raised eyebrows back in Kidman’s native Australia.

As a longtime fan, I was really saddened to read that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are struggling with distance. Apparently, a source told Woman’s Day recently that while they do try to talk daily when they’re not together, they’ve been spending a *lot* of time apart since Nicole’s mother passed away last September. It sounds like things have been tough, and they’ve kind of been living separate lives lately, which is just heartbreaking to hear.
In July, Urban subtly suggested there were problems between him and Kidman. He abruptly ended a phone interview with a radio station after they asked a disrespectful question about her recent, more explicit roles in films like Babygirl and A Family Affair.
While promoting her Netflix show The Perfect Couple last September, Kidman shared her belief that a truly perfect marriage doesn’t exist.
‘There’s no perfect anything,’ she said, ‘anything that’s presented as perfect… forget it.’
Earlier that year, Kidman said she was ‘so lucky’ to have met the singer.
‘I’m so lucky that I have Keith who’s just my love, my deep, deep love,’ she told People magazine.
I feel very fortunate to have Keith in my life… he allows me the freedom to pursue my goals, knowing I always have a place to return to,” she explained.
