Nicole Kidman ‘has applied for residency in Portugal’ following split from Keith Urban and wants to move to same complex as Harry and Meghan

Nicole Kidman is facing her first winter as a single woman, and she plans to spend it comfortably and elegantly.

Following her divorce from Keith Urban, the actress has been looking at homes in Costaterra Gold and Ocean Club, a high-end resort near Lisbon often called the ‘Hamptons of Portugal’. The development is about an hour south of the city.

Nicole submitted her immigration application in July, and officials immediately noticed her husband, Keith, wasn’t listed on the paperwork.

If Nicole and her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, move to Portugal, they’ll be joining a growing number of people who have already done so.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, George Clooney, Paris Hilton, and Princess Eugenie are just some of the celebrities who have homes in the Comporta resort that Nicole is looking at.

Harry and Meghan are said to have spent $4.7 million last year on a luxurious beach house within a development created by Mike Meldman, who also co-founded George Clooney’s tequila brand, Casamigos.

In 2019, Discovery Land Company CEO Meldman purchased a 722-acre property along the Atlantic coast for £435 million.

Before buying the property in Portugal, he had already managed the development of 24 high-end golf course communities internationally.

In 2021, reports surfaced that George Clooney was planning to build a very large home for his family at a resort owned by a friend.

People were surprised to see Nicole arrive at Tires airfield near Cascais, a luxurious coastal town close to Lisbon.

In the last decade, Nicole bought two penthouses in the prestigious Latitude building in North Sydney and connected them to create a large, luxurious apartment.

Since getting married in 2006, Nicole and Keith have created a remarkable collection of properties around the world.

One of the first big steps my clients took together was buying a stunning 36-acre property in Franklin, Tennessee back in 2007. It was a significant investment – over $3 million – and really marked the beginning of building their life together. It’s amazing how a shared home can solidify a relationship, and this estate was definitely that for them!

The next year, they moved to a large, luxurious home in Nashville’s prestigious Northumberland neighborhood.

In addition to their home in Tennessee, the couple also owns real estate in Manhattan, Sydney, and New South Wales, plus a $6.77 million house in Beverly Hills.

With the famous couple’s divorce after nearly two decades together, their impressive $282 million property empire is now facing uncertainty.

Nicole filed for divorce last month, stating that she and her husband have differences they can’t resolve. A source told the Daily Mail that Keith Urban may already be seeing another female musician.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, published last Thursday, the Australian actress spoke about going through difficult times and ‘making it through,’ suggesting her marriage was ending.

She said that as she’s gotten older, she’s increasingly wanted to share the lessons she’s learned from her life experiences – everything she’s seen, gone through, and overcome.

As someone who’s been through a lot and learned from it, I’m really passionate about sharing what I’ve discovered with others. It’s about taking those tough experiences – the heartache and the setbacks – and using them to grow and move forward. I want to help people navigate those difficult times and find a path towards healing and a brighter future.

When asked what she enjoyed most about aging, she said it was all the experiences she’d gained over the years.

I’ve really learned to tell myself, ‘Okay, I’ve faced something like this before, and I know what to do.’ Or, if it’s completely new, I remind myself that I’ve overcome challenges before, and I *will* get through this one too. It’s about drawing on past experiences to stay strong.

She seemed to be suggesting that her past, difficult divorce from Tom Cruise prepared her to cope with the emotional fallout of separating from Keith Urban.

It helps to remember that even when things are incredibly painful, challenging, or heartbreaking, you *can* get through them. But you have to allow yourself to truly feel your emotions.
