Nicolas Cage’s Son Engaged After Alleged Vicious Attack on Mom
Weston Cage, son of Nicolas Cage, has shared the news of his engagement to his girlfriend, Jennifer Alexa Canter. This announcement comes just over half a year since they first made their relationship public through social media posts on Instagram.
The artist, aged 34, who was recently accused by his mother, Christina Fulton, of assault, has affirmed that he proposed marriage to People magazine on Thursday.
He shared that Jennifer holds a special place in his heart as his initial love, sole love, and ultimate love. She is the one whom he considers the love of his life, and he remains devoted to her for eternity.
‘My relationship with Jennifer is a unique, divine connection that’s beyond comparison, for it feels as if it was destined by God. She is the one I have always loved, and our bond is extraordinary in a way that words can hardly express.’
Previously wedded thrice, Weston expressed his joy by saying, ‘I feel privileged to be with the one I truly love. We’re excited about our plans to impact the world and create an enduring legacy together.’
Although he hasn’t announced it on social media yet, the artist posted a charming selfie with his fiancee on Thursday.
In the mirror’s reflection, he was observed embracing Jennifer from behind while she swiftly captured the moment with her camera.

Apart from acknowledging Jennifer’s role in his sobriety journey, he penned down, “It will forever remain as it should, and my love for you transcends human affection – I adore you beyond the stars.

Towards the end of last year, in November, the pair made their Instagram relationship public when he posted a picture showing them in an embrace.
The actor shared an interesting tidbit, mentioning that he and Jennifer, who he referred to as his ‘twin flame,’ not only were born in the same hospital but also grew up in the same neighborhood.
Weston – who is the eldest child of Nicolas Cage – has been married three times in the past.
In the year 2011, he got married for the first time to Nikki Williams. However, they parted ways the following year.
In 2013, he married Danielle Cage, but they parted ways in 2016. Their union brought forth two sons, whom they named Lucian and Sorin.
In 2018, Weston tied the knot with Hila Cage Coppola. Together, they have twin children named Venice and Cyress. Regrettably, last July marked the end of their marriage, as their divorce was officially completed.
The most recent announcement about the musician dating someone new has surfaced, following swiftly after Christina Fulton, his mother, spoke up publicly for the first time since taking legal action against her former partner, Nicolas Cage, due to Weston allegedly assaulting her severely.
In the previous month, it came to light that she has filed a lawsuit against both the actor and his son Weston, due to a reported physical fight that transpired in April 2024.
On a recent Monday, the actress discussed with TMZ the matter of making her ex answer for an alleged assault by their son.
Prior to stepping into a courthouse in Los Angeles, Christina expressed that she had been deeply saddened, heartache lingering for an extended period, due to her experiences with both her son and the Los Angeles Police Department.
She claimed that officers abandoned her, wounded on the ground, following an alleged attack by her son.
She went on to say, “I handled everything on my own, and I’ve felt isolated – unless stopped,” she added, explaining that she believed Cage hindered her from dealing with Weston’s matters.
Previously, Fulton alleged that her ex-partner had been constantly supporting Weston throughout his life, an act she believes inadvertently fostered his purported hostile conduct.
She said that her son was in the midst of a ‘manic rage’ before he was arrested for attacking her.
On Mondays, Christina made it clear that she deeply cares for her son. However, she believes he requires firm discipline to tackle his problems. Furthermore, she considers him a casualty in the widespread ‘crisis of mental health.’
The actress expressed her desire to be present for other mothers facing similar circumstances, while simultaneously offering her support to her son so he could receive necessary medical care.
When asked why she was suing Nicholas, Christina replied: ‘I’m making sure everyone involved is accountable.’
I passionately affirm that the actor in question is none other than Weston’s dad, and I wholeheartedly believe he had the capacity to extend far greater aid to our beloved son and ensure my safety.

In April 2024, an incident occurred where Weston is said to have attacked Fulton. As a result, she decided to bring legal action against both Cage and their son following this alleged assault in the year 2024.

In July 2024, Weston, who later declared his innocence, was taken into custody for allegedly using a lethal weapon in an assault case. He was granted bail set at $150,000.
In response to the lawsuits filed against him by Fulton, Nicholas Cage’s legal representative issued a statement to People magazine.
It was stated that the accusations made by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are ridiculous and baseless. Also, it was clarified that Weston Coppola, a 34-year-old individual, does not have any behavior controlled or managed by Mr. Cage, implying that he is not accountable for Weston’s alleged attack on his mother.

Additionally, Christina asserted that her former partner had contributed to Weston’s reckless habits, including frequent alcohol consumption, even though he was aware of his past struggles with substance abuse.
Additionally, she claimed that the actor known as Longlegs not only bailed out their son from jail multiple times but also covered his rental expenses for a condo in Los Angeles. Furthermore, it was alleged that he failed to arrange for Weston’s required psychiatric care.
According to Christina’s complaint, the purported attack from last April significantly harmed Fulton’s prosperous career as a prior model, actress, and businesswoman.
At that point, she was engaged in a Netflix project but had to temporarily stop it. Additionally, she was part of other business endeavors that faced potential threats as well.
In January, Fulton claimed that Nicolas facilitated their son after the suspected assault that occurred in April 2024.
In January, Weston and Fulton independently attended the same Los Angeles court for a trial concerning an assault charge. During the proceedings, Fulton’s lawyer, Joseph Farzam, claimed that Nicolas Cage had been enabling Weston throughout his life, which allegedly contributed to Weston’s aggressive behavior.
On April 28, in the Los Angeles region, an altercation took place between Weston and Fulton. It seems that a verbal argument escalated and became a physical one.
On the 28th of April, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., I was contacted with urgent messages from friends who were concerned about my son, Weston Cage, due to his worsening mental condition. They implored me to provide assistance, as stated in a declaration obtained by People.
Upon my arrival to comfort and assist him, I found him in an extremely agitated state, which escalated into a violent attack within just a few short minutes. As a result, I suffered severe injuries,” she asserted.
Although I urgently asked the police officers to hold him for a mental health checkup, they declined my petition.
In her statement, Fulton expressed deep sadness and concern as a mother regarding Weston’s prolonged mental health struggles. She emphasized the urgency for him to receive the vital assistance he clearly requires.
The Los Angeles Police Department verified that Weston was arrested for an alleged attack involving a lethal weapon – this happening mere weeks following the observation of severe facial bruising on his mother.
As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that, just like in a crime drama I can’t get enough of, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has confirmed to People Magazine that an arrest has been made directly linked to the heated incident reported on April 28th. The connection is as real as the adrenaline rush I feel watching my favorite shows!
On May 10, Weston’s case was handed over to the district attorney’s office. Then, on June 26, the district attorney charged him with two counts of using a lethal weapon in an assault. Later on, an arrest warrant was issued for him.
At approximately 10 am, the actor was granted a $150,000 bond, with reports suggesting that it was his father who arranged for his release. (US Sun claims the father as the bailer.)
According to TMZ’s report during the suspected event, an ambulance was said to have been summoned to Fulton’s residence for evaluation, yet she opted not to go to the hospital.
On more than one occasion, the son of the actor famously known for National Treasure has found himself in legal difficulties. In 2017, he was apprehended for driving under the influence (DUI) and fleeing the scene of an accident.
Initially, the individual collided with numerous parked vehicles, road signs, and mailboxes before eventually crashing into a tree. Subsequently, he was transported to the hospital where he was indicted for driving under the influence (DUI) and remanded in custody on a $30,000 bond.
2011 saw him being accused of domestic violence following an argument with his former wife, Nikki Williams, as reported by ABC News.

Fulton and Cage started seeing each other back in 1988, and they had their son Weston in the following year, 1990. However, this relationship didn’t lead to marriage, and they parted ways approximately a year after Weston was born.
In November 2023, both Weston and Fulton filed a lawsuit against Weston’s ex-wife Hila Arounian.
It was claimed that she misappropriated $100,000, waged a malicious attack on them, and demanded a bogus protective order which barred Fulton and her relatives from visiting Weston’s twin daughters, Venice and Cyress.
