Nicola Peltz is spoiled. Do they realise what their sneering sounds like?: After ‘tight’ accusation David and Victoria’s friends call KATIE HIND and let rip – and reveal true story
At the age of fifteen, Brooklyn Beckham started working as a barista in a coffee shop located in Kensington, earning a relatively low wage of £2.68 per hour.
David and Victoria, David’s and Victoria’s parents, designed a strategy to instill the importance of money in their kids, which was an integral part of their upbringing.
When Brooklyn decided to pursue larger opportunities, it was Romeo who seemed set to take over, a prospect that brought great joy to Posh and Beckham, as they are self-made millionaires who take pride in their achievements.
Moreover, when the devastating Grenfell Tower fire occurred in 2017, which was situated just under a mile from the Beckham family’s £25 million residence in Holland Park, Victoria encouraged her sons to participate in the aid efforts.
On the other hand, Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn’s wife, was raised in a starkly different environment. Being the youngest child of American billionaire entrepreneur Nelson Peltz, her desires were always fulfilled.
According to those familiar with the situation, he has been quite liberal with his finances, spending lavishly on various things, such as the two LA residences that Nicola and Brooklyn have shared since their relationship started in 2019.
This week, it came to light that they had recently purchased a new 11-million-pound house with five bedrooms in Beverly Hills. Interestingly, this is situated near where Brooklyn resided with his parents when they relocated to California back in 2007, following David’s signing for the LA Galaxy football club. Prior to this move, the couple had been living in a 7.7-million-pound mansion complete with gym and sauna, having sold their initial home – an 8-million-pound property also located in Beverly Hills.
The properties were purchased using money that belonged to Nicola, which had been given to her by Nelson and his wife Claudia. As a result, they have accused David and Victoria of being stingy with their finances because they didn’t follow this example by buying a home for their eldest child in the same manner.
The news about the snipe arrives during a conflict between the two clans, resulting in Brooklyn, who is 26 years old, feeling largely disconnected from his family.
Nevertheless, the allegation that they are stingy with their finances has left the Beckhams puzzled, since they’ve made efforts to instill financial responsibility in their children, even though they share an estimated wealth of around £500 million combined.
A friend mentioned that, similar to the previous one, the house was purchased using Nicola’s trust fund, which includes the funds that Nelson and Claudia provided.
In my perspective, I can’t help but wonder: Why shouldn’t one strive for self-reliance through work? It seems the Peltzes might not fully grasp how their comments could be perceived as condescending towards David and Victoria, for not purchasing homes for Brooklyn and Nicola. Although the Peltzes may view this action positively, it appears that the Beckhams do not share the same sentiment.
‘This situation clearly demonstrates that the Peltz family is raising sensible, hardworking children, which puts them in sharp contrast to those who seemingly only pampered their daughter. What kind of lesson is that teaching?’
As a kid from humble beginnings in Chingford, East London, nestled amidst the vibrant streets of East London, I was raised by my hardworking parents – Sandra, a talented hairdresser, and Ted, a skilled gas fitter.
Victoria’s background was that of a comfortably-off family. Her dad, Tony, was an independent electrical engineer who owned his own business and often drove a Rolls-Royce, taking her to school. This led to her being affectionately known as the ‘Posh Spice’. Despite this, they were not multi-millionaires.
A relative remarked about David and Victoria, ‘Much like Nelson, they’ve built their own success.’ Yet, they cherish this achievement and remain mindful of their roots. Both have willingly given up numerous opportunities to reach their current position.

Friends of David and Victoria note that although Brooklyn and Nicola haven’t received a house from them, the ‘Beckham’ surname has undeniably contributed to their success in securing brand deals, like with Pepe jeans. A friend pondered, “After all, Nelson and Claudia don’t whine about it, do they?
In addition to footing the bill for Nicola and Brooklyn’s £3 million wedding held in April 2022 at their £76 million Florida residence, it is speculated by those acquainted with the Beckham family that they did so to maintain authority and oversight over the event.
The Beckham family has provided their three sons with chances to pursue their dreams using connections they’ve built over time, yet they’ve taken care to avoid pampering or overindulgence.
My friend remarked, ‘Every boy in question received an opportunity, significantly supported by their parents. They comprehend the concept of nepotism, so it was likely challenging for Brooklyn to secure a typical job.’
In the meantime, it’s believed that Nicola sought her father’s assistance as she pursued her aspiration for a career in acting.
In April of this year, I initially disclosed the discord that arose between Brooklyn, Nicola, and their parents. Later on, it came to light that the duo declined to participate in David’s 50th birthday festivities in May, even though they had flown to London for the occasion.
David and Victoria, aged 51, attribute the rift to their daughter-in-law, as they feel she has significant influence over Brooklyn and tends to instigate disagreements during gatherings of the Beckham family.
Brooklyn insists this isn’t the case and said last month that he will always choose Nicola first.
At a Halloween bash in Los Angeles back in 2018, there was no hint of the future complications for the two families when Brooklyn and Nicola crossed paths for the first time. In truth, the Beckhams were quite smitten – eager to get acquainted with their potential relatives-in-law.
In January 2021, with the easing of the lockdown, the Beckham group boarded a private airplane and headed for Florida, linking up with the Peltzes at their luxurious Palm Beach estate.
I was informed by confidants that the journey turned out extraordinarily well, to the extent that three months later, on Easter, Nicola and her mother Claudia, aged 70, presented Victoria with a basket full of £500 worth of presents and a personalized letter.
But, tensions rose after an argument between Nicola and Victoria in 2022, making the preparations for Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding more and more challenging.
The situation deteriorated following a disagreement between Nicola and Victoria in 2022, as the countdown to Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding grew more pressured.
Lastly: Relations worsened after a spat between Nicola and Victoria in 2022, as the build-up to Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding became increasingly tense.
Reports indicate a palpable tension regarding various aspects of Nicola’s wedding, such as her choice of dress (Valentino instead of one designed by her mother-in-law), the seating arrangement, and even the details of the first dance. Additionally, it was reported that Nelson was growing weary due to his son-in-law being jobless.
In the upcoming conflict, Instagram serves as the primary platform for interactions, as all involved parties boast substantial followings. Each ‘like’ or slight carries significant weight in this digital arena.
The Beckhams felt deeply hurt when Brooklyn and Nicola commended Nelson and Claudia, seemingly overlooking them in the process.
In April, the Peltles sent another Easter basket, but this one went to Brooklyn and Nicola in Brooklyn. This gesture led to a heartfelt, public expression of gratitude from them.
I couldn’t help but feel a deep pang, being a devoted fan myself, when Brooklyn overlooked my special day two weeks back – Mother’s Day.
Last week, Brooklyn neglected to extend a “Happy Father’s Day” greeting to his father, whereas Nicola openly expressed heartfelt admiration for Nelson in the public eye.
One source remarked, ‘Everything seems intentionally provocative. It’s as if Brooklyn and Nicola are purposefully flaunting their actions to make David and Victoria feel uncomfortable.’
