Nicola Coughlan’s hit Channel 4 show adds Sherwood star as it gets exciting filming update

The second season of “Big Mood” is welcoming Robert Lindsay, known for his role in “Sherwood,” to join its cast as production begins on the fresh season.

Camilla Whitehill’s creation, Big Mood, revolves around the character of Maggie, played by Nicola Coughlan, who is an unconventional young woman dealing with bipolar disorder. This series offers a witty yet poignant perspective on how Maggie’s condition affects her life and her close friendship with Eddie, portrayed by Lydia West.

2024 saw the arrival of a much-loved TV series. It recently got another season due to its massive success, surpassing “Derry Girls” as Channel 4 streaming’s most successful new comedy debut since then.

What to Read Next

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the production for the second season has already begun and is expected to air on our screens next year.

In the next release, we’ll introduce several fresh faces such as Lindsay, Hannah Onslow, Marina Bye, Marcus Collins, and Munroe Bergdorf.

They will also be accompanied by the contestant from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Kyran Thrax, along with Kelly Campbell, the actor from Bridgerton named Leo Wan, Zachary Hart from Slow Horses, and lastly, John Locke.

In the upcoming season, Robert Gilbert (Will), Eamon Farren (Krent), Niamh Cusack (Gillian), Amalia Vitale (Anya), Luke Fetherston (Ryan), Rebecca Lowman (Vanessa), Stephen Sobal (Owen), and Kate Fleetwood (Clara) will once again take on their respective characters from the previous season.

In the closing moments of season one, Maggie and I parted ways as friends. Fast forward a year, and here comes Eddie introducing her fresh new BFF. I can’t wait to see how I’ll respond when we reunite in season two!

In the story, it’s mentioned that Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West) haven’t spoken for a full year. However, their friendship remains intact, as suggested by the synopsis. The unexpected arrival of Eddie at a wedding, though, finds Maggie not by herself; she now faces competition from Whitney, an irritatingly optimistic spiritual healer.

As a gamer, I ponder: Can my wildcard companion Maggie fit into Eddie’s freshly rebooted world? Or could our epic adventure together come to an end, leaving me without my trusted ally Maggie?

Big Mood season 2 will air on Channel 4.
