Nicola Coughlan stops by SUR restaurant in West Hollywood after revealing Vanderpump Rules is her ’emotional support show’
As a dedicated fan of both Bridgerton and Vanderpump Rules, experiencing the serendipitous convergence of these two worlds left me absolutely ecstatic! Nicola Coughlan, the enchanting Penelope Featherington herself, graced the same establishment as Lisa Vanderpump – it was like a dream come true for this Anglophile with a soft spot for reality TV drama.
Recently, Nicola Coughlan dropped by the SUR restaurant located in West Hollywood, which serves as the filming location for her heartfelt series, Vanderpump Rules.
37-year-old Bridgerton actor was spotted in a photo alongside Guillermo Zapata, one of the co-owners of SUR restaurant (which is also owned by his wife Nathalie Pouille-Zapata), as well as Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd from Vanderpump.
Guillermo and the official SUR Instagram account posted a collaborative message about Nicola’s visit, stating in the caption: “We’re huge admirers of what you do, Nicola! A big thank-you to you for joining us at SUR. Nicola truly is a queen.” (Paraphrased by me)
Nicola, who made heads turn at the Emmys, donned a sleek black gown and matching black sandals while striking a pose next to the eatery’s pink bar.
It wasn’t clear from the post when she made her visit, however, it’s known that the star was in Los Angeles for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards over the past weekend.
The Irish beauty previously explained that she is a big fan of the reality TV series.
The actress found it beneficial to watch the program as a means of relaxation during the filming of Bridgerton, and she also enjoyed Big Mood – a show centered around a character with bipolar disorder.
She explained to Today that understanding the dialog from Bridgerton can be challenging due to its unique style, as it’s not based on everyday language or supernatural elements. Instead, it’s highly stylized, and the colloquial expressions used in Big Mood are quite informal.
However, juggling both tasks simultaneously, along with the travel, wigs, and maintaining a particular mood, proved to be quite intricate. Consequently, my mind became overworked, almost burned out.
When I returned home in the evening, all I wanted to watch was Vanderpump. There were ten seasons available, and she mentioned that she was aware of the massive scandal towards the end, referring to ‘Scandoval’ – the shocking revelation in season 10 about Tom Sandoval’s infidelity with his girlfriend Ariana Madix, who also happened to be a former cast member named Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss.
‘I was in. It was the perfect show. It’s a perfect reality show. It’s great,’ she stated.
Bravo has not made an announcement on whether the series has been renewed for season 12.
But Vanderpump, 63, told E! News that the show is not going to be canceled in the near future.
‘Vanderpump Rules is taking a short break, allowing it some time to refresh. It seems like we’ve been repeating ourselves for a while.’
Simultaneously, it has been announced that Nicola’s series, Bridgerton, will continue for a fourth season, and she is set to reprise her role as Penelope Featherington.
At the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nicola deliberately captured everyone’s attention, dressed in a stunning silver sequin gown.
She looked fantastic in the dazzling off the shoulder number which showcased her incredible figure.
Nicola’s striking dress featured a fashionable scooped neckline, gracefully flowing down into a well-defined tiered skirt.
The Irish actress pulled back half of her long, golden hair into an orderly style, adding a touch of elegance with a pair of understated drop earrings.
Her fans have criticized the way she appeared to be treated on the red carpet.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself subtly navigating through a sea of folks, attempting to capture the perfect shot with the enchanting actress, Nicola, amidst the bustling red-carpet event. Regrettably, some individuals seemed oblivious to her presence, inadvertently stepping in front of her on several occasions.
A pair is spotted strolling in front of the camera in clips posted on what used to be Twitter. Moments afterwards, the operator politely asks someone else to move as they were interrupting the photo shoot. The identities of the attendees remain undetermined.
17-second video clip caused quite a stir among fans, prompting one viewer to comment: “She’s handling this so graciously. If it were me, people would have been pushed aside.
Another individual questioned: ‘Why are those old people walking like she wasn’t there?’
A third person chimed in, ‘Isn’t it common for red carpets to have a hidden path at the back of the step and repeat area to prevent such situations? Or are they intentionally acting impolite?’
