As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for style and substance, I must say that Nicola Coughlan is truly a breath of fresh air in the entertainment industry. Her journey from humble beginnings to Hollywood stardom is nothing short of inspiring.

On Thursday, Nicola Coughlan radiated elegance while attending TASAKI’s 70th Anniversary Floating Shell event held at Selfridges in London.

37-year-old actress from Derry Girls looked stunning in a mini dress featuring a cape, one-sided sleeve, and fringed detailing. She accessorized it with see-through stockings and formal heels.

She added to the look with TASAKI Atelier Waterfall high jewellery.

This year, Nicola has been the center of attention in Hollywood due to her leading part in season three of Bridgerton.

In one scene, both she and her co-star Luke Newton appeared without clothes, which was quite suggestive. However, when faced with a subtle jibe about her weight during a Bridgerton event, Nicola defended herself assertively.

During a question-and-answer session, someone complimented Coughlan by saying she was ‘remarkably courageous’ for her nude scenes in the third season of the show. In response, Coughlan handled it elegantly and humorously.

In essence, Nicola expressed that finding clothing that fits her well is challenging due to the difference between her body type and idealized female figures often associated with having “perfect” breasts.

“There is not enough representation of ourselves on screen. As part of the esteemed group of well-endowed women, I am delighted to share our images with you.

2018 saw Nicola write an opinion piece for The Guardian, where she shared her feelings about being labeled as “a heavy girl” and “an overweight child” by a theater critic in more contemporary times.

She wrote: ‘I’m very lucky to get to use my body to become all these fascinating women. But the prism through which my body is viewed is inescapable.

I realize I’m not the only one facing this issue; female professionals in my field are consistently judged based on their appearances. This issue extends to male actors too, as I’ve received messages indicating as much, but the overwhelming response I’ve encountered comes primarily from women.

In our society, there seems to be an unspoken rule that women’s bodies are open to criticism and observation in a manner that men’s are seldom subjected to. As a dedicated follower, I find this discrepancy troubling and strive to challenge it wherever I can.

Instead, Nicola consistently emphasizes the significance of a balanced lifestyle to her followers, rather than just stressing weight concerns.

She has credited early morning workouts with keeping her fit and active.

While she revealed the key to her youthful complexion has been drinking plenty of water.

On her Instagram stories, she had earlier stated: “Guys, here’s a flashback fact: Water is great for your skin! I can hardly believe I was the first one to figure out its health advantages.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share this fascinating tidbit! Did you know the actress herself confessed to shunning expensive beauty buys? Instead, she opts for skincare essentials from our beloved high street retailer Lush – a place that holds a special place in her heart as she once worked there during her teenage years. Isn’t it refreshing to see celebrities keeping it real and rooted in their humble beginnings?

Last month, Nicola slammed people who called her ‘brave as a plus-sized woman’ for baring all in Bridgerton as she graced the cover of TIME magazine.

The Irish actress has been recognized by TIME as one of their Next Generation Leaders, being referred to as “TV’s refreshing breeze”.

On Wednesday, Nicola enthusiastically expressed her delight through a series of Instagram posts, featuring images captured during an elegant photoshoot.

‘So overwhelming, such an honour, thank you @time for having me on your cover (!!!)’ she wrote.

In the magazine interview, Nicola discussed the fact that although she weighs less than the typical woman, she’s often referred to as a “plus-sized heroine.” She kindly requested that her fans refrain from labeling her as “brave” for baring it all on screen.

She remarked, “Please don’t refer to me as brave.” Instead, she humorously noted, “I possess an attractive set of breasts, and flaunting them isn’t an act of bravery; it’s simply a part of who I am.

Nicola spoke out against the focus on her physical appearance and questioned, “Suppose I were to become a ballerina and dramatically reduce my weight, would you still accept and appreciate me just the same?

‘That’s insane and so insulting,’ she added.

Nicola further expressed her feelings, stating that she found it uncomfortable when fans paid excessive attention to her appearance rather than the content during the marketing phase of the new Netflix series. She described these remarks as uninteresting and oversimplified.
