On the occasion of her birthday on October 5, the 41-year-old fashion designer, joined by her sister Paris Hilton, opened up to People during her MyTheresa launch event, revealing secrets behind their strong bond.
The couple share daughters Lily-Grace, eight, Teddy, six, and son Chasen, two.
Hilton clarified: “My spouse and I frequently go on work-related trips, but we never leave our kids unattended. Therefore, we arrange our travels so that at least one of us is always with them.
She commended Kathy and Richard Hilton for providing her with a fantastic model of a powerful, lasting relationship.
Speaking about the wisdom her mother shared with her, she expressed, “Some of the guidance I’ve received from my mom over the years includes always keeping a sense of joy, avoiding going to sleep with unresolved arguments, and taking time to appreciate the little things in life and cherish each moment.
To ensure they keep their connection strong, Nicky mentioned that they consistently carve out a unique, quality time for the two of them, which often serves as their special date night.
On Saturday, she enjoyed a dual celebration, marking her 41st birthday and the debut of her collaboration with designer Rebecca Vallance.
Apart from Kris Jenner, Rachel Zoe, Jennifer Tilly, Kelly Osbourne, and Dylan Mulvaney, Paris’s sister and Carter Reum, her brother-in-law, were also in attendance.
Nicky shared with People magazine that he has admired Rebecca’s designs for quite some time and has often worn them himself.
I, along with my mother and sister, share a deep affection for the same individuals. Therefore, working with one of my most admired designers feels like a cherished dream realized. Our shared design sensibilities, style, and aesthetic are remarkably similar, and I believe this harmony will be evident in every piece we create together.
Regarding the success of their collaboration, the mother of three clarified, ‘We’d travel to meet each other in Europe, or she’d go to New York, and our efforts were incredibly collaborative when it came to creating this collection.’
On their official site, it’s stated that this pair has created a special, one-time release of garments. These pieces showcase bold, well-tailored dresses embodying the distinctive Rebecca Vallance brand identity, but interpreted through the unique perspective of Hilton.
The designs evoke a distinctive festive ambiance using a classic range of colors, as well as some unconventional hues that Nicky pointed out.
Instead of the conventional jewel tones for our holiday collection, I aimed to challenge the norm by thinking beyond the usual confines.
‘I wanted to include some ice blues, which is my favorite color,’ she remarked.
Over the weekend, Nicky showcased some new posts on Instagram, accompanied by the message: ‘Christmas spirit is here early – only 61 days left until the big day!’
