Nickit and Thievul are coming to Pokémon GO during the Deep Depths event.
In the upcoming Pokémon GO event called “The Deep Depths,” players will have a chance to introduce Nickit into their game for the first time, and there will be a higher probability of discovering a Shiny Clauncher during this period.
Here are all the event details and bonuses you need to know ahead of the event getting under way.
Deep Depths Pokémon GO event
The “Deep Depths” event in Pokémon GO will take place from Wednesday, March 19 (at 10:00 am) until Monday, March 24, 2025 (at 8:00 pm), according to the local time.
Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect during the Deep Depths event.
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
- Increased chance to encounter and hatch Shiny Clauncher.
Wild Encounters
In addition, during the event the following Pokémon will spawn in the wild.
- Murkrow
- Sneasel
- Corphish
- Clamperl
- Purrloin
- Female Frillish
- Clauncher
- Nickit
It’s thrilling to know that for the very first time, we’ll encounter a Pokémon debut in the wild, specifically Nickit. Unlike other instances where it might have been confined within Eggs or Raids, this time it’ll be freely available. However, keep in mind that Nickit will be slightly more elusive as a spawn.
Deep Pokémon Pokémon GO will bring special 7 km Eggs
During the upcoming event, I’m thrilled to find out that Nickit and Clauncher will be hatching from 7 KM eggs! Plus, there’s an increased chance for a shiny Clauncher in these eggs. Here’s what the 7 KM egg pool looks like during this special event:
* Nickit (Normal/Dark type)
* Clauncher (Water/Fighting type, with a boosted shiny rate)

Other event details
At the upcoming event, you’ll find Field Research related to the theme, just like before. Additionally, there’s a chance for you to participate in a limited-time Timed Research, which comes with no cost and offers these rewards upon completion:
- 10 Kubfu Candy
- One Mysterious Component
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon after completing the Timed Research
Then there will be an additional paid Timed Research, priced at $2 that awards the following:
- Two Super Incubators
- One Star Piece
- Encounters with Clauncher and Nickit
