Nicki Minaj wins retraction lawsuit over gossip blogger who claimed she was a ‘CRACKHEAD’
As someone who has spent a significant portion of my life navigating through the cutthroat world of show business, I can’t help but admire Nicki Minaj’s resilience and determination. This woman, a true Barbie in every sense, has faced her fair share of challenges, yet she stands tall and unbroken.
Nicki Minaj may find some comfort in the fact that she effectively prevented a well-known gossip blogger, identified as Nosey Heaux (whose real name is Marley Green), from disseminating unfounded rumors concerning herself.
The blogger accused the Barbie World singer, 41, of being a ‘crackhead’ back in 2022.
Based on TMZ reports, approximately two years ago, Nicki Minaj filed a lawsuit against Green due to her posting a video alleging that the “Bang Bang” singer was forcefully snorting large amounts of cocaine.
In accordance with the agreement reached, Green is required to admit that her statements accusing Nicki of being a cocaine user were lies, and furthermore, that she lacked any proof to substantiate these unfounded accusations.
It’s forbidden for Nosey Heaux to discuss or comment on Nicki, the artist who just pulled out of a show in Romania due to safety issues, as well as any topic related to cocaine.
She is additionally prohibited from reposting or re-sharing any content related to the Anaconda singer engaging in actions deemed illegal or unacceptable.
If Green violates the terms of the settlement, she will have to pay Nicki $50,000 per offense.
The statement that Minaj rightly took offense to was part of a video Green uploaded to Nosey Heaux.
1) “Apparently. Thanks. Apparently, but it’s quite evident to most of us that this is accurate.”
‘I’m not saying allegedly on that. Nicki Minaj is a cokehead,’ Green stated at the time.
In the same video, Green appeared to dig her claws further and aggressively targeted the three-year-old child that Minaj co-parents with her husband Kenneth Petty, who has previously been convicted of rape.
‘Your baby is going to be a rapist, too,’ she boldly claimed.
Mentioning anything about Nicki’s son is strictly off-limits for Green. Violating this restriction could result in a $50,000 fine for each infraction.
Previously this past summer, the rapper expressed doubts about her marital status with her long-time boyfriend Petty, whom she dated in high school. She hinted at being single by posting on social media platform X, ‘Indeed, I’m single.’
Fans pondered over the mysterious message, questioning whether her romance was facing issues or if it hinted at a fresh track she’s working on.
As a long-time fan, I’ve always admired your musical talent and creativity. So when I saw that question about a potential new single or your relationship status, it got me thinking about how much our fandom has grown with you over the years. Regardless of whether it’s a new release or a personal change in your life, we will continue to support and appreciate you for who you are and what you do. You’ve made such an impact on us through your music, and we love you no matter what!
Another individual congratulated Nicki on what seemed like a public relations strategy, writing, “To fellow female rappers, this is how you execute a PR move. Just two words, and she made a meal of it.”
