As a lifestyle expert, I’m always moved by stories of people helping each other, and this one really touched me. You might remember Tylor Chase from Nickelodeon’s ‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.’ Recently, a video surfaced showing he was experiencing homelessness, which was heartbreaking. Thankfully, his former co-star, Daniel Curtis Lee, stepped in and arranged for him to get a hotel room. It’s wonderful to see these two reconnect and support each other!
Chase, now 36, became known as a child actor for his role as Martin Qwerly, appearing in 33 episodes of a show between 2004 and 2007. Lee, 34, also starred in the series, playing Simon ‘Cookie’ Nelson-Cook in 54 episodes.
A video obtained by Daily Mail shows former child stars Lee and Chase having a heartfelt reunion, embracing in a hug. Lee also offered Chase a place to stay and a warm meal during the Christmas holiday.
Lee shared in an Instagram video on Monday that he reached out to a former colleague and offered him a place to stay.
He managed to connect Chase with his father during the meeting, and that really cheered Chase up.
Lee expressed his happiness that Chase had a meaningful connection with his father, saying, ‘Love is about giving people your time.’ He also noted that Chase was very open to discussing his future and even seemed to be praying at one point.

The announcement followed a statement from Riverside, California officials who said they don’t yet know how long Chase had been homeless.
Riverside police spokesperson Ryan Railsback told the Daily Mail on Monday that they don’t know how long the man had been living on the streets.
He described Chase as consistently polite and helpful during all encounters with their officers.
Railsback stated that officers from the Public Safety Engagement Team reach out to him weekly with ongoing support, such as help finding temporary housing.
According to Railsback, Chase, age 36, has repeatedly refused help from the department’s outreach team, including offers of shelter, substance abuse treatment, and mental health care.
The Riverside Police Department’s Community Engagement Division works to tackle new crime patterns, keep schools and parks safe, lower shoplifting, and build strong relationships with neighborhoods throughout Riverside, according to the department’s website.
Police confirmed to the Daily Mail that they haven’t contacted Chase’s family, as he is currently experiencing homelessness. An officer stated, ‘We haven’t made any efforts to reach out to his relatives.’

When people learned about Chase’s difficult housing situation, Shaun Weiss – a former child actor from The Mighty Ducks who has also experienced homelessness – reached out to offer support.
Weiss credited his friend, businessman Jake Harris, for taking action to assist Chase.
Shaun explained to the Daily Mail that Jake was the one who really rescued the situation. “I just filmed a video,” Shaun said, “but Jake spent all night searching the streets and finally managed to find and reach him.”
Weiss explained they’d tried to get Tyler a hotel room the night before, but it didn’t work out. Jake had started talking to Tyler, trying to build trust, which was hard given how upset Tyler was.
The former Mighty Ducks actor said Tyler appeared willing to get help and considered entering a detox program.
Harris shared on Instagram that he connected Chase with several of his colleagues, who all told him how much they cared about him and encouraged him to get help.
According to Harris, he’s connected with the resources necessary to get the support he requires. He also has a hotel room for the night, giving him space to consider his options privately.
