Shaun Weiss, known for his role in The Mighty Ducks, has shared that Tylor Chase, a former Nickelodeon star, is once again homeless. This comes after Chase was briefly held for psychiatric evaluation last week.
Last week, 36-year-old Chase, known for his work on Nickelodeon, was hospitalized. This happened after Jacob ‘Jake’ Harris, a Los Angeles influencer and businessman who was assisting Chase, reached out to a crisis center for help.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I just saw this and I’m so worried! Apparently, after they let Chase out of the facility, he was spotted wandering the streets again. Weiss just told TMZ, and I’m just beside myself! I hope someone is really looking out for him now.
After authorities found him, he was assessed by a crisis team, and reportedly used methamphetamine during the evaluation.
He explained that they were meant to detain him and take him to a pre-arranged detox center, but they released him without informing anyone.
According to Weiss, Harris located Chase on the streets of Riverside late last week and contacted the crisis team once more.

The crisis team evaluated Chase and determined once again he was a danger to himself.
According to Weiss, someone reported that Chase was using methamphetamine during an assessment, even though it was very cold and he wasn’t wearing shoes or a jacket. Despite this, the crisis team decided not to admit him for care.
Weiss isn’t sure what to do next, but he’s reached out to leaders at the Screen Actors Guild, hoping to get assistance from a politician.
Weiss is also appealing to the county of Riverside for help.
Weiss also points out that while fans mean well, donating money to Chase isn’t actually helping him get better.
It wasn’t long ago that Weiss was also homeless and struggling with addiction.
Like Chase, he sought professional treatment after a video surfaced in 2020, revealing how severely his substance abuse was affecting him.
Chase, known for his role as Martin Qwerly in the early 2000s TV show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, was recently filmed by people who spotted him living on the streets.
The sad video of Chase quickly spread online, and his former colleagues were shocked to see it. Daniel Curtis Lee was so concerned that he even helped Chase get a hotel room.

Police stated to the Daily Mail that Chase was polite and worked well with them. However, they also told TMZ that Chase repeatedly refused offers of housing, help with substance abuse, or mental health care.
Following the request of Chase’s father, Harris has been assisting the former actor, and recently told The Daily Mail that he was able to secure some support for him.
Harris told the Daily Mail on Christmas Day that she finally connected with a crisis center offering immediate in-person evaluations. They assessed the situation and determined he needed urgent care, so they transported him to a nearby hospital for a 72-hour treatment program.
Harris explained that the individual is now receiving good care and has a promising outlook. He emphasized that all they needed was someone to step in and offer assistance.
Harris helped lead Chase’s recovery efforts because he knows Weiss personally.
Through his representative, Weiss confirmed to the Daily Mail that Tylor has been admitted to a facility following a mental health crisis and is now under the care of Riverside County officials.

The incredible public support arrived at a critical moment. He’s seriously unwell and needs more intensive care than a typical detox center can provide. He’ll need several weeks to recover and stabilize, according to Weiss.
We are incredibly thankful for all the kind offers of help and advice, but right now, Tylor needs space and privacy.
‘He has all the resources necessary and we should pray that he’s able to recover.’
On a rainy Christmas Eve, a fan showed kindness to Chase by giving him warm clothes and food to help him stay comfortable. The fan then offered a prayer for the former child star.
Chase appeared to thank the people for helping him out.
On a rainy winter day, the former child star was spotted wearing a red coat, a black hoodie, gray pants, and black Nike sneakers.
The video shows the man handing Chase the coat by first placing it over his shoulders, then clumsily assisting him in putting his arms into the sleeves.
When a fan offered to pray for him, Chase briefly smiled and gratefully replied, ‘I appreciate that!’
As Chase leaned forward, the man put his hands on his shoulders and back and prayed to God to free him from evil and bring him into the light.
