Nick Jonas took to Instagram on Thursday, New Year’s Day, to promote his new song Gut Punch.
The musician, 33, started a video by saying, ‘2026 is finally here! 2025 was an amazing year – honestly, one of the best of my life.’ He is married to Priyanka Chopra, 43.
He shared that he was experiencing all the typical emotions that come with the start of a new year – a mix of reflection and some anxiety. He explained that he intentionally released his project, ‘Gut Punch,’ on this particular day to acknowledge and address those feelings.
In a short video shared with his 35.4 million followers, he explained he wanted to release his new music for anyone who could relate to what he was going through.
The celebrity admitted feeling the pressure to become a perfect new version of themselves at the beginning of the year, but acknowledged that’s unrealistic and it’s perfectly fine to not achieve that.
The new father said he was going to step into another room to hug his family and take a moment to appreciate the small joys in life, like peaceful time spent with loved ones.
He encouraged people to remember that their past hurts and errors don’t define them, and expressed optimism that 2026 would be a positive year for everyone.
The singer-songwriter signed off, ‘Much love, thank you so much. Love you guys. Bye.’
He shared the post with a playful caption saying he was feeling nostalgic and might take it down later. It’s already received over 66,000 likes.
Jonas’ solo album, titled Sunday Best, is due out on February 6.
He promoted the project’s lead single in his Instagram Stories on Thursday, sharing a Spotify link.
He expressed his excitement about the new song and the people who helped create it, specifically thanking Bianca Deiandra Atterberry, Josette Maskin, and Ryan Daly for bringing his vision to life.
His wife also used the social media app on Thursday, sharing a New Year’s greeting with fans that included a collection of images from 2025.
Priyanka Chopra wished her followers a happy new year and expressed hope for a kinder 2026 in a recent social media post to her 94 million followers.
The pop star and Indian actress are parents to daughter Malti, who turns four on January 15.
The couple, who have been together for a long time, got married in 2018 and just celebrated seven years of marriage.
To celebrate the occasion, the husband posted a heartfelt and straightforward message about his wife on Instagram.
He shared a photo of the Bollywood star relaxing in a red bikini, sunbathing with a beautiful view in the background, and celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary with the caption: ‘7 years married to my dream girl.’
