Nicholas Hoult’s wife Bryana Holly responds to body-shaming criticism of her appearance at Oscars party

Nicholas Hoult’s wife has addressed online criticism about her body after attending the Vanity Fair Oscars party.

After attending the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, 32-year-old Bryana Holly, the partner of 36-year-old actor, responded to online comments about her outfit – a revealing black sequined gown by Lurelly.

After the event, Bryana addressed comments about her body on Instagram Stories, saying she had noticed people were talking about her chest.

This is likely milk expressed by a mother who hasn’t breastfed in a while. Those familiar with breastfeeding will understand the situation.

‘You are not owed an explanation.’

Bryana and Nicholas have been a couple since 2017 and are parents to two children: an eight-year-old son named Joaquin, and a younger child born in late 2022 who is now four years old.

The couple generally prefers to keep their family life out of the public eye. However, Nicholas did refer to Bryana as his wife in an interview last November.

Nicholas, who is known for his acting work including the show Skins, has talked before about what it’s like being a parent.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, Nicholas said: ‘The levels of tiredness are extreme.’

Honestly, nobody prepares you for this! It’s just… overwhelming, in the best way possible. The amount of love and support I’m getting? It completely overshadows anything else. It’s absolutely incredible, I’m totally living for it!

‘And it evolves all the time.

‘(Children) change so much, every day is different. It fills you up as a human completely.’

Nicholas started acting when he was young and first became well-known for his part in the movie About a Boy, where he acted with Hugh Grant.

He became well-known for playing Tony Stonem in the TV show Skins, which helped launch his career as one of the UK’s most promising young actors.

Nicholas went on to build a varied career across both independent and blockbuster films.

He’s famous for his roles as Beast in the X-Men movies and in the film Mad Max: Fury Road.

Nicholas has shown his versatility as an actor in films like The Favourite, Warm Bodies, and The Menu, successfully performing in a variety of genres, from historical dramas and action movies to dark comedies.

Honestly, I follow Nicholas everywhere, and it’s amazing he doesn’t just stick to movies! He’s been killing it on TV too – I mean, he led ‘The Great,’ and it was incredible. It’s just proof he’s brilliant in everything he does, whether it’s big screen or small!

Honestly, I’ve tracked his work for years, and it’s amazing to see who he’s collaborated with! He’s worked with so many incredible directors and actors, both here in the UK and all over the world. He’s just consistently been in amazing projects, and it’s wonderful to see him everywhere!

He shared that people cautioned him about potentially losing control after he became famous at age 11 for his role in the movie About A Boy.

At the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Nicholas shared that he’d been warned by many people that child actors frequently struggle to maintain their careers as they grow up.

He explained that the experience left him worried, because everyone always warns about child actors struggling later in life – losing their careers and facing difficulties as adults.

I was definitely scared of what might happen, but I still really wanted to keep going. I was also a little hesitant, because I realized there was a good possibility it wouldn’t succeed.

Nicholas credited his parents with allowing him to pursue acting without feeling any need to achieve immediate success when he was starting out.

He said he was fortunate to have supportive parents and family who prioritized his education and tried to maintain a normal childhood despite his acting career.

You know, working on a film set can be intense, but my colleague Hugh is just a dream. He really embodies grace and kindness, and honestly, he sets such a wonderful example for everyone around him. It makes the whole experience so much better when someone brings that kind of energy to the table.
