Nicholas Hoult lands next lead movie role in bank heist thriller

Actor Nicholas Hoult has secured his upcoming leading part, as he’s slated to feature in an exhilarating bank robbery-themed suspense movie.

As reported by Deadline, the actor known for his roles in “Skins” and “X-Men” is now part of the upcoming, as yet unnamed, action-thriller directed by David Leitch. The storyline is rumored to focus on a daring bank robbery.

Director Leitch, known for movies like “Bullet Train” and “The Fall Guy,” is said to be teaming up with Kelly McCormick, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum for a new project. Mark Bianculli is expected to write the script for this production.

Although specifics about the storyline are yet to be revealed, there’s news that Amazon MGM Studios plans to release the movie before its initial theater premiere. Filming is set to start this summer, and we can anticipate further cast updates in the near future.

Following his roles in “The Order”, “Juror #2”, and “Nosferatu” over the past year, Hoult’s new project has been announced, with “Nosferatu” being particularly noteworthy as it features him alongside Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Emma Corrin.

In addition, Hoult is playing a significant part in the project, as he will assume the role of the nefarious Lex Luthor in DC Studios’ revamped Superman series, with James Gunn at the helm and David Corenswet portraying the main character.

In a chat not too long ago, I spilled some beans about my take on the legendary baddie, hinting that there’ll be a tad of humanity in this Lex. Here’s the lowdown: He’s sharp as a whip and merciless, but he needs to outsmart Superman in certain areas since he can’t keep up with him in others.

This character has a quality that I hope comes across clearly, such that even if you might not share his methods, you can still empathize with him. You might even grasp the rationale behind his actions, as his beliefs – though possibly controversial – could potentially be beneficial for mankind.

Superman is scheduled to be released in cinemas on July 11.
