NHL 25 Arcade Returns to World of Chel Today
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the return of NHL Arcade in NHL 25 has me absolutely thrilled! The fast-paced action and outlandish power-ups are reminiscent of the good old days when arcade games ruled the roost.
In today’s update for NHL 25, EA has brought back NHL Arcade as a temporary feature within World of Chel. The popular game mode is expected to resurface intermittently throughout the game’s seasonal calendar.
NHL Arcade allows you to engage in exciting 3-on-3 matches featuring extraordinary power-ups, on a custom-designed rink without any rules, boundaries, or pauses. The aim is to score the most goals, and if neither team achieves this during regular playtime, a sudden-death overtime lasting five minutes determines the winner.
In all players, their Overall Rating (OVR), height, and weight are identical, making power-ups such as Supershot, Big Player, Banana, Super Speed, Double Score, Freeze, Small Goalie, and Big Goalie essential for gaining an advantage on the ice. The NHL Arcade begins today, with additional Arcade modes to be added later on.
In NHL Arcade+, you’ll see the addition of power-ups like Lightning, Curse, TNT Puck, and Angry Mascot, while NHL Frenzy will introduce some fresh twists. Expect an Abduction Beam from a passing UFO, as well as a Laser Attack – this mysterious UFO will shower the ice with lasers that split it apart and leave trails of fire behind.
The exciting NHL Arcade mode is available in NHL 25 right now! You can enjoy it either solo, taking on the roles of a skater or a goalie, or invite your pals to join you for some friendly team competition.
