As a veteran gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tad disheartened by Seasun’s recent buff announcement for Fritia – Turbo. I’ve been following this character since her debut and have invested countless hours into mastering her gameplay.
After weeks of waiting, Seasun has finally announced the long-awaited buffs for Fritia – Turbo on CN socials. They’re uh, certainly buffs.
Buff Details
- The auto-aim provided by Fritia’s standard skill will be improved to better prioritize available weak spots.
- The AoE range of Fritia’s ultimate skill will be buffed to always be equal to the current maximum range when using her ult with maximum Supercharge stacks.
- The animation of her standard skill will be slightly sped up by removing the step back from the skill animation, instead immediately squatting down to enter firing mode. This change will be added in a later update from the first two.
Analysis
astonishingly weak, these enhancements seem to be more about fixing existing issues than genuinely amplifying her power. Enhancing her auto-aim could be seen as an upgraded bug fix rather than a substantial upgrade. Extending the range of her ultimate ability to remain fixed may not significantly alter gameplay since you’d typically aim for maximum stacks to maximize damage, and the skill animation speedup… technically speaking, it might provide a DPS boost, but not in a way that feels particularly impactful.
The modifications made to Fritia do not address any of her core problems. She’s still tied to specific events and gacha weapons for better stamina management, and needs these gacha weapons to perform her full damage rotation effectively. Moreover, she still experiences significant gaps between her attack phases, and her damage rotation remains quite rigid with limited adaptability.
It’s quite disheartening and perhaps even a bit offensive that it took nearly a month to gather feedback, brainstorm ideas, and then present such a minimalistic list of changes as if it were a sad occasion.
Here’s hoping this is only the initial round of adjustments, leading to a follow-up announcement with more substantial improvements for Fritia’s character. If not, our sympathies go out to the Fritia fans everywhere; you deserved a more favorable update.
