Newly-engaged MasterChef stars Declan Cleary and Sarah Davidson enjoy first date night since welcoming twins just weeks ago as they step out at Australian Open

They fell madly in love while filming MasterChef Australia together in 2024. 

Declan Cleary and Sarah Davidson, the chefs, have continued to thrive both personally and professionally. They recently got engaged and celebrated the arrival of twins during the Christmas season.

The new parents had their first night out together since welcoming their baby, attending the Marriott Bonvoy Lounge at the Australian Open in Melbourne on Thursday.

Sarah, 38, showed off her post-baby body in a white blouse under a pale blue, pinstripe blazer. 

She added matching trousers with a knitted belt and a pair of beige and brown pointed heels. 

Declan, 27, looked stylish in a vintage-inspired green and patterned shirt and shorts, paired with black slip-on shoes.

Though they became parents to twin daughters, Claudia and Charlotte, on Christmas Eve, this couple hasn’t publicly announced an engagement on Instagram. However, they’ve shared several clues suggesting a wedding is in their future.

Declan recently got people talking when he posted a picture of a tasty-looking meal on his Instagram Stories.

He shared a happy update, writing that the ribs were cooked, his daughters were asleep, and he and his fiancée, Sol, were all doing well on this Tuesday.

Sarah recently posted a video showing off a new ring while enjoying a walk with her daughters and their dog, Sol.

The popular couple, who first connected on the 2024 season of MasterChef: Back to Win, shared that they enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle before the birth of their twins.

The couple, who started dating in early 2025 after connecting on MasterChef Australia, recently celebrated their pregnancy with a baby shower, a relaxing getaway, and plenty of good food.

Declan recently told the Daily Mail that he and Sarah took one last, lavish vacation together before their baby arrives, wanting to enjoy a special final getaway.

‘We’ve been over in Dubai and India, which I think will be the last international trip,’ he said.

We considered that trip to The Atlantis in Dubai a kind of ‘babymoon’ – a relaxing resort vacation where we just enjoyed the hotel amenities and chilled out.

This luxurious resort is a favorite among celebrities, with stars like Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Minogue having stayed there.

Atlantis is a very expensive resort. Even a basic room for two people can cost anywhere from $748 to $8,965 per night.

Sarah, a mother from Queensland to a 14-year-old son named Phoenix, relocated to Melbourne to be with her boyfriend, Declan. They met and quickly fell in love while both appearing on the reality TV show, MasterChef.
