Newly-engaged Jack Whitehall and Roxy Horner take daughter Elsie to feed koalas, emus and kangaroos in day out at Brisbane wildlife sanctuary

On a joyful excursion, Jack Whitehall, along with his fiancée Roxy Horner and their little girl Elsie, spent the day exploring a wildlife preserve in Brisbane.

On Tuesday, the comedian (age 36) posted several pictures on his Instagram, offering peeks into their recent trip, featuring the family enjoying encounters with various popular Australian creatures.

In a funny moment captured in a picture, we find Roxy, aged 33, holding her 16-month-old and making a disapproving expression as the koala she was petting started to defecate. Her mischievous fiancé took pleasure in pointing this out to her.

On the day trip, she opted for a chic style, showcasing her long legs in a fashionable backless floral dress paired with trendy trainers. Her blonde hair was styled elegantly in a modern scrunchie.

While putting on a khaki polo shirt and plain black shorts, Jack felt embarrassed when he noticed that his attire resembled the uniform of the sanctuary workers.

Meanwhile, the pair alternated feeding the emu, yet timid Roxy hesitated and maintained a safe distance, whereas fearless Jack let the creature peck food directly from his palm.

Nevertheless, the grain supply quickly depleted, and he playfully suggested his phone as an alternative, then swiftly took Elsie’s pram and fled instead.

With his typical playful style, Jack captioned the photos as follows: ‘Fantastic day in Brisbane at @lonepinekoala, where I met up with my kin-animal Koala, had a cozy run-in, and somehow ended up in their staff uniform!’

The family’s journey to Australia takes place only a few weeks after Roxy officially announced their engagement, which had sparked much discussion.

Last month, she displayed a pear-shaped diamond ring, indicating that the couple had planned to get married, as she confirmed their engagement.

On the eve of New Year’s Day in 2024, she posted on Instagram a video recap of her most memorable moments from the final two months of the year. The collection featured glimpses of her stunning engagement ring and captured the instant when Jack proposed to her.

Additionally verifying their upcoming marriage, she posted a picture of Jack accompanied by the message: “Finest future spouse on earth”, followed by an emoji depicting a diamond ring.

Initially, the video displayed Roxy unveiling a diamond ring-shaped balloon and an ornament that resembled an engagement box on a Christmas tree themed after rings and boxes. Later, she moved her hand in circles to disclose her genuine ring.

In one image, it seemed like Jack was suggesting a romantic proposal, as Roxy proudly displayed her sparkling ring amidst a row of illuminated Christmas trees.

The video received an abundance of warm greetings from friends and admirers, a significant one being from her newly-engaged partner, who wrote merely, “My love,” accompanied by three heart emojis in red.

In a recent twist of events, I found myself flaunting a stunningly large diamond ring amidst the wintery charm of Winter Wonderland last month, fueling speculations that a walk down the aisle might be on the horizon for me and my partner.

While taking selfies alongside Jack and Elsie, it was noticeable that Roxy had a tear-shaped diamond adorned on a silver ring band on the finger traditionally used for engagement rings.

Since 2020, this pair has been together, and they welcomed their daughter, Elsie, into the world in September 2023 at the renowned Lindo Wing – a place where numerous royals have chosen to bring their newborns.

Jack found the experience to be both incredibly intense and joyful, exceeding his expectations in a manner he hadn’t foreseen.

At that moment, he penned down: ‘Wow, something incredible just took place! It was incredibly intense and filled me with a kind of happiness I hadn’t anticipated.’

I’m utterly impressed by my partner, Roxy Horner, who has been phenomenal throughout this adventure. I can’t wait for her to become an incredible mother. Thrilled to embark on our journey as a new family together.

Instead of swearing you’d never become like him, it turns out you’re fully embracing your role as the parent who shares countless photos of their child with others. And yes, wearing Sketchers to the hospital was probably a sign that fatherhood has taken hold. In other words, I guess I can confirm that I am officially a full-fledged dad now.

‘Name wise after this weekend I think ‘rice, rice, baby’ has a nice ring to it.’

The couple then revealed Elsie’s name which means ‘Pledged to God’ in Hebrew.
