Just weeks after announcing her engagement to NRL player Liam Knight, footy presenter Danika Mason has done something unexpected with her stunning diamond ring.
Okay, so I was at the airport on Sunday and noticed something really interesting about Danika, the TV personality. She and her fiancé, Liam, were walking through, and she’s wearing her engagement ring in a totally unexpected way! It definitely sparked some conversation – it’s not how you usually see rings worn, that’s for sure.
Danika went against tradition and wore her diamond ring on the middle finger of her left hand instead of the ring finger, where engagement rings are usually worn.
For her flight, she kept it casual with a simple outfit: a white blouse and black pants.
The Today Show host finished off her athletic outfit with a red Nike baseball cap, which she wore over her sleek, straight brown hair.
She completed her look with a backpack, a black Prada handbag, and a large gold watch.
Danika was accompanied by her partner, Liam, a player for Hull FC. He matched her style with a simple black T-shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
The power couple have just returned from an overseas trip.
Danika announced her engagement to the sports star while on a romantic European holiday last month.
She announced on social media that Liam proposed to her while they were on a beautiful beach in Italy.

They started dating publicly in July 2024, shortly after she ended her engagement with Todd Liubinskas.
After months of rumors, the couple officially confirmed they are dating on social media. The footballer shared a photo on Instagram of him hugging Danika, making their relationship public.
‘My life’s good,’ Liam wrote in the caption, alongside the couple sharing a cuddle.
Danika ended her relationship with her fiancé, Todd Liubinskas, in September 2023, only three weeks before their wedding was scheduled to take place.
The Daily Mail reported that Liubinskas, who works as a personal trainer, later asked Danika to return her diamond engagement ring, explaining it had been passed down in his family.
Danika also kept the $1.5 million Maroubra home she shared with her ex-fiancé.
She later confirmed the couple split due to a ‘breakdown in trust.’
Oh my gosh, hearing her talk about it just wrecked me! It sounded absolutely brutal, like a total emotional whirlwind. She said it was just… everything. Sadness, shock, even anger – she felt it all after what he did. But you know what? She’s so strong. She just said you have to push through, and honestly, that’s exactly what I’d expect from her. It just breaks my heart, but she’s handling it with so much grace.
She also started seeing a therapist to cope with the aftermath, and not long after, she met someone special.
Liam reached an agreement with the Hull FC rugby team in March, and shortly after, he and his partner began a long-distance relationship. They’ve made the most of it by traveling abroad together whenever they could.
