New Transformers Prototype Release Gives Optimus Prime a Cinematic Design Reveal

Optimus Prime’s look has changed over the years, but the design from the 2007 Michael Bay movies became especially well-known. Now, a company is creating a highly detailed collectible figure based on that iconic version.

The CT-10 Super Leader from CT Toys is a collectible figure of Optimus Prime, based on his design from the first three “Transformers” movies. Recent photos show a color prototype of the toy, which includes accessories inspired by the films. It’s designed to be the same size as official, high-quality figures from the brand, and promises an easier transformation process than earlier versions, addressing previous problems.

Optimus Prime’s First Bayverse Design Rolls Out Again in New Transformers Toy

New photos of the CT-10 Super Leader prototype from CT Toys are available, meaning the action figure is getting closer to release. It’s modeled after Optimus Prime’s design from the first three Transformers movies, including the distinctive “flame” details on his vehicle form.

I’m seriously impressed with how this figure transforms! It goes from looking exactly like his robot mode on screen to a super-accurate version of the movie truck – way better than the original Optimus Prime toy from 2007, honestly. From what I’ve seen, the transformation is surprisingly easy, though I guess that’s probably relative to some of the other toys based on this design.

Super Leader/Optimus Prime stands about 11 inches tall in robot form, making him the right size to display with other similar-sized toys. This figure is carefully designed to look like his movie version, and it comes with lots of accessories inspired by the film. These include three blasters that can be attached, and four blades – two straight ones and two with hooks. You can also change his face to show either a faceplate or a mouth.

This action figure is incredibly detailed and can be posed to recreate famous scenes from the movies, like dramatic entrances or fights with the Decepticons. Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date or price yet, as these pictures show an early version of the toy.
