New Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remaster Could be in the (Half)Pipeline According to Pro Skater Tyshawn Jones
It appears that Activision might be planning another remaster of the classic game, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, based on comments made by professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones. This is because he was one of the new additions in the 2020 version, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
Jones shared during an interview on Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club that he’s “in a position similar to Tony Hawk,” and that’s exciting because they’re remastering a new version, which is soon to be released. Interestingly, he was also part of the last one.
It makes sense for the upcoming remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater to combine Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, although a report from last May suggested that Activision had ruled out this possibility. However, since then, the company might have changed its mind or perhaps they are considering a remaster of THUG 1 and 2 (Tony Hawk’s Underground). We’d be more than happy with either option.
Tony Hawk himself hinted last September that there will indeed be more to come regarding the series. This suggests that some exciting developments might be brewing. Needless to say, we’re eagerly waiting for a possible remaster of Tony Hawk’s games.
