New releases coming to Peacock in November 2024

As a long-time fan of suspenseful dramas and gripping mysteries, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming releases on Peacock this November! The lineup is simply mouthwatering, particularly two standout shows: “The Day of the Jackal” and “Based on a True Story” season 2.


All in all, October was an exceptional month filled with fresh premieres and the return of much-loved series. Now, we’re eagerly anticipating what November has in store for us! Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming releases on Peacock in November 2024:

The Day of the Jackal

After a bit of waiting, it’s almost here: the premiere of “The Day of the Jackal” starring Eddie Redmayne is now scheduled for November 14, 2024, on Thursday! This series takes inspiration from the novel and movie with the same title. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it looks like a gripping thriller that you won’t want to miss! The initial release date was slated for November 7, but Peacock has pushed it back one week. No worries though, as the wait will be worth it!

The first five episodes of the 10-episode season will drop on premiere day. These will then be followed up by one new episode weekly. The final two will stream together to culminate the finale on Thursday, Dec. 12. Check out the release schedule below:

In addition to Redmayne, The Day of the Jackal features Lashana Lynch and Úrsula Corberó. This thrilling movie revolves around the character of the Jackal, a “unique and incredibly elusive lone assassin” as described in the plot summary. On a mission to eliminate his current target, British intelligence officer Bianca is relentlessly pursuing him across Europe, leaving a trail of destruction behind her.

Based on a True Story season 2

Gear up for an exciting binge-watching session! The second season of Based on a True Story, filled with real-life drama, premieres this coming Thursday, Nov. 21, exclusively on Peacock. In this season, we’ll catch a glimpse of Ava and Nathan as parents for the first time, having welcomed their newborn baby. You might recall that in season 1, Ava was expecting throughout the series. Despite their attempts to distance themselves from their fascination with true crime, they are once again drawn into the world when a copycat of the West Side Ripper begins committing murders.

Additionally, Ava finds herself grappling with the reality that her sister Tory is betrothed to Matt, a reformed serial killer suspected of a recent string of murders under his name. Notably, the Bartlett family, known for their altruistic nature, are likely to offer assistance in this matter. The series features Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Liana Liberato, and Tom Bateman as its main characters.
