Overwatch 2 Competitive Drive event now live

Starting from April 17, when you start Overwatch 2, you might observe a fresh Competitive Drive event unfolding. This special event is happening exclusively within the Competitive Play mode of Overwatch 2, and it’s only available for a limited time.

Blizzard explained that advancement during gameplay (Drive) is visible to everyone, regardless of the role you’re playing in the Role Queue system. However, advancement in competitive play without a specified role (Open Queue) doesn’t contribute towards your Drive progression.

Over the course of four days, strive to boost your Drive Score to the maximum and accumulate Competitive Points and Drive Signatures. As soon as you pass a particular milestone, your Drive Score will no longer fall beneath that level.

Overwatch 2 Competitive Drives Season 15 rewards

  • 500 Drive Score: 500 Competitive Points
  • 1,000 Drive Score: Drive Signature
  • 1,600 Drive Score: 1,000 Competitive Points
  • 2,200 Drive Score: Advanced Drive Signature
  • 3,000 Drive Score: 1,500 Competitive Points
  • 4,000 Drive Score: Elite Drive Signature

Regarding the checkpoints, there are six in all. Achieving 500, 1600, and 3000 will grant you 500, 1000, and 1500 Competitive Points respectively. Additionally, hitting 1000 and 2200 will unlock standard Drive Signatures. Reaching the milestone of 4000 will reward you with a much more eye-catching, animated Drive Signature.

Your Drive Score is determined by your advancement within the game and your team status. Victories earn you points equivalent to ten times your current rank progress, while defeats deduct points equal to three times the lost progress. If you win a game while part of a group, you’ll receive an additional 50 points. For instance, if a player gains 20 rank progress from a win, they would earn 200 Drive Score plus an extra 50 points if they’re playing with a team, resulting in a total of 250 points.
