This specific Competitive Drive event is unique because players can earn extra Competitive Points.
Between February 11th and 16th, each game counts twice towards your Competitive Points total, giving you the chance to amass an impressive 6,000 Competitive Points during this special, temporary occasion, as stated by Blizzard.
How Competitive Drive events work in Overwatch 2
In simpler terms, “Competitive Drives” are temporary events in Overwatch 2 that occur during specific time periods, particularly for players involved in ranked matches. Towards the conclusion of each season, participants have the opportunity to boost their Competitive Drive Score, which can be exchanged for Competitive Points and unique Drive Signatures.
After a player attains a checkpoint on their Drive Score gauge, the score will remain above this level. In Season 14, players can boost their Drive Score by engaging in competitive matches using the Role Queue system in Multiplayer mode.
How to get a higher Drive Score in Overwatch 2
In Overwatch 2, a player’s Drive Score is determined by their advancement in ranks and whether they are playing solo or as part of a group. Each win contributes ten times to the player’s rank progress, while each loss deducts three times from it. Additionally, a player receives a 50-point bonus on their Drive Score when they secure a victory while playing with others in a party.
If a player triumphs in a game while being part of a group, they will gain 20 times ten Drive Scores, amounting to 200 points. As they’re playing with others, they also get an extra 50 bonus points, resulting in a grand total of 250 points.
