The latest Onimusha: Way of the Sword trailer goes into Miyamoto Musashi’s story.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 has begun, and Capcom quickly revealed a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

Capcom recently released a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword during Tokyo Game Show 2025. The trailer reveals more about Miyamoto Musashi’s journey after he reaches Kyoto. He’s almost killed in an ambush by the Genma, but a special gauntlet, the Oni Gauntlet, saves him by giving him incredible power. Although powerful, Musashi ultimately wants to break his connection to the gauntlet, believing it’s better to rely on his own skills and strength instead of demonic power.
Musashi eventually encounters Izumo no Okuni and Ono no Takamura, both actual people from history. His journey also leads him to Takamura, a talented swordsman who, like Musashi, fights wearing a gauntlet, and is guided there by a mysterious force connected to his own gauntlet.
Musashi also meets Okuni, a famous Kabuki actress looking for a way to overcome the Genma. In the game, Musashi battles enemies and uses the powerful Oni Gauntlet to win. You can watch the new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, provided by Capcom, below.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword release date
Fans of Onimusha: Way of the Sword can expect the game to be released in 2026. It will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam.
