New On Netflix, Prime Video, And More: 5 Streaming Shows And Movies To Watch This Week ( December 15 -21)

Christmas is still more than a week away, and this week’s new streaming options reflect that. There aren’t a ton of new releases right now, which makes you think the really good stuff is being saved for the holidays. However, there are still some great movies and series coming to streaming this month that you’ll definitely want to check out.

Fallout Season 2 – December 17 (Prime Video)

Many streaming services don’t have major new releases this week, likely because everyone is anticipating the arrival of Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video. The first season was a big hit, so fans are expected to watch the new season weekly.

Emily In Paris Season 5 – December 18 (Netflix)

As a big TV fan, I’ve noticed it’s become so normal for shows, even the ones with a lot of hype, to get cancelled after just one season. That’s what makes Emily in Paris so interesting – it’s actually made it to five seasons! And unlike a lot of what Netflix is doing lately with staggered releases, they’re dropping the whole new season on December 18th. It’s perfect timing – a bit of feel-good escapism to binge-watch right before Christmas.

Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day December 19 Netflix

Streaming services are increasingly offering live events, and this week, Netflix will be streaming another boxing match featuring Jake Paul – this time against former champion Anthony Joshua. Following the success of his last fight, your Netflix subscription will give you access to this event.

Saw Franchise – December 19 (Peacock)

December is known for cozy holiday movies, but if you’re tired of those, Peacock is offering a different kind of entertainment this week: the complete Saw movie series, including the newest film, Saw X. You could spend the week watching all the terrifying traps and deaths from the franchise—though, having done so myself, I’d advise caution.

Born To Be Wild December 19 Apple TV

Honestly, sometimes I just need something cheerful to watch, and this show delivers! It’s called Born to Be Wild, and it’s about six baby animals. Each episode follows one of them from birth in captivity as they learn how to survive out in the wild. It’s seriously adorable to watch and listen to, but be warned – it can be a little sad too!

Christmas is almost here! While you’re enjoying time with family, streamers are hoping you’ll also tune in – all the major streaming services have new shows and movies to keep you entertained.
