A new Netflix thriller has topped a worldwide trending chart after its release last week.
Fall for Me, our latest film, debuted on the streaming platform last Thursday (August 21st). According to FlixPatrol, it has been Netflix’s most-watched movie globally since its premiere.
Currently, the film is dominating viewership in many nations worldwide, except for major English-speaking regions such as the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In these territories, “KPop Demon Hunters” and “The Beekeeper” are currently leading the pack in terms of popularity.

The movie chronicles a woman named Lilli as she journeys to Mallorca for her sister’s wedding celebration. However, her suspicions about the groom soon arise, causing her discomfort.
While delving into her investigation, she feels an irresistible pull towards another enigmatic figure. Yet, is the excitement justified given the potential perils involved?

Although the series “Fall for Me” has captured audiences’ hearts, it seems to have been overlooked by critics, as Rotten Tomatoes has amassed merely five reviews and all of them are unfavorable.
The website LeisureByte.com described the watch as being plain and predictable, lacking any unique features. On the other hand, Digital Mafia Talkies deemed it boring to an extent that even with its captivating locations, attractive cast members, and intense romantic scenes, it still felt dull.
The experience of watching “Fall for Me” can be compared to watching paint dry, albeit with occasional interruptions every twenty minutes or so featuring brief nudity. (Ready Steady Cut’s original phrasing: “watching ‘Fall for Me’ is akin to watching paint dry, save for the occasional uncovering of someone’s nipples every twenty minutes.”)

It appears that viewers generally dislike the movie, since most user reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb are unfavorable. The film’s user rating on these platforms is 4.7 out of 10.
Critics often point out the overused phrases in the script and the less-than-stellar performances, yet viewers appreciated the captivating visuals and brief duration of the piece.
Fall for Me is available to stream now on Netflix.
The latest print issue from Digital Spy is available now! You can purchase the “Oasis – Live in ’25” edition at local newsstands or online for only £8.99.
