New Lord of the Rings trilogy boxset comes complete with your own One Ring

As a seasoned movie enthusiast with over three decades of film-watching under my belt, I can confidently say that The Lord of the Rings franchise has been an unparalleled journey through Middle Earth’s rich tapestry. From the captivating books to the iconic Peter Jackson films, this saga has undeniably left a lasting impact on countless lives, myself included.

The epic tale known as “The Lord of the Rings” has consistently remained popular since J.R.R. Tolkien’s books were initially published in the 1950s, but the current surge in interest is exceptional and scarcely seen before. At present, Amazon is airing its prequel series titled “The Rings of Power“, Warner Bros. Discovery is planning to release the animated film “The War of the Rohirrim” in December, and a couple of new versions of Peter Jackson’s original “Lord of the Rings” movie trilogy are being sold, both featuring your own replica of the One Ring.

It’s clearly not the One Ring we’re talking about here; this is the ring that Sauron infused with all his malevolence and desire to rule over every living being. It doesn’t exist in reality, so it seems absurd to imagine it included with a 4K Ultra home video release of a movie trilogy…yet, I wouldn’t recommend wearing it if you’re feeling particularly power-hungry.

As reported by IGN, the One Ring sports a gleaming golden exterior and bears the well-known Elvish inscription on its side: “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them together, and in darkness hold them captive.” It includes a pouch and a silvery necklace for convenience, allowing you to wear it as a necklace instead of slipping it onto your finger. This can help avoid unwanted attention from the Nazgûl during social events such as birthday parties or work functions.

I mentioned that there are two upcoming boxsets of this item. The less pricey option is priced at $66.99, featuring both the regular and extended movie versions, housed in a design resembling books. On the other hand, the costlier version retails for an unusual $157.32, offering everything mentioned earlier along with extensive behind-the-scenes content and a faux-leather packaging adorned with gold foil and embossing for text and artwork. Both editions include the One Ring.

You can place an order for both editions right now, even though the pricier one doesn’t become available until December 20th. Regardless of your choice, they will arrive before the holiday season, making them perfect gifts for someone who hasn’t yet experienced Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. If you’re considering buying it as a Christmas gift for yourself, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that!
