New Jersey gaming revenue climb in August 2025
In August 2025, online gaming brought in $248.4 million in revenue, a 25.2% jump from the previous year. Total earnings for the year so far reached $1.88 billion, up 23.5% compared to 2024. Casino hotels also performed well, with $311.9 million in revenue for August 2025 – a 6.1% increase year-over-year. Their year-to-date earnings totaled $1.98 billion, a 2.8% increase from the previous year.
Sports betting revenue totaled $81.9 million in August 2025, a 30.6% increase compared to August of the previous year. Year-to-date, revenue reached $708.7 million, which is 1.0% lower than the same period last year.
In August 2025, casinos, racetracks, and related businesses generated $642.2 million in gaming revenue, which is 15.7% higher than the same month in 2024. Revenue for the year so far reached $4.57 billion, up 9.7% compared to 2024. The state collected $86.1 million in taxes from gaming revenue in August, and $532.2 million year-to-date.
