The first installment of this popular anime series came out years ago, and fans are now excited for the new movie. To celebrate, a special model kit will also be released, offering a noticeably superior design compared to others on the market.
The 1/144 scale Ξ (Xi) Gundam, made with clear plastic, is a model kit of the main robot from the new movie, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. This movie is the second in a planned series of three films based on the Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash novels. This collectible will be available for pre-order at movie theaters soon, and its design closely matches the film’s visuals. It’s a limited-edition item, so purchasing it will require more than just a simple trip to the store.
New Gundam Hathaway Anime Hits Movie Theaters With Limited-Edition Gunpla Model Kit
The HG 1/144 Ξ (Xi) Gundam [Clear Color] is a model kit of the Xi Gundam, and as the name implies, it’s made with clear, translucent plastic. Despite being clear, it has the same level of detail as other High Grade kits, and may even have more! It comes with a shield and a beam rifle.
Since this is an updated version of an older Gunpla model, it will include two Beam Sabers, which complement its strong, heavily armored design. The box art for the kit has also been revealed, mirroring the poster for the new movie. Currently, the only way to purchase this collectible is through the film’s promotional channels.
The clear-color HG 1/144 Xi Gundam model kit will first be available for purchase at movie theaters. You’ll need to show a reserved seat ticket, a regular movie ticket, or proof of attendance through the theater’s app to buy one. Quantities are limited to one kit per customer, and they’re expected to sell out fast.
Good news for fans! After the first release, these Gunpla models will become available at GUNDAM BASE stores and other related events starting in June 2026. In Japan, tickets for the new Gundam Hathaway anime movie go on sale February 6th, and will cost around $44 (or 6,930 yen).
