New Frankenstein movie delayed until 2026 as Julia Garner horror moves up release date
The much-anticipated musical adaptation titled “The Bride,” reminiscent of Frankenstein, has had its premiere date rescheduled to the year 2026.
The forthcoming movie that blends music and monsters is a modern take on the 1935 film “Bride of Frankenstein,” originally based on Mary Shelley’s timeless novel from 1818, which chronicles the tale of the scientist in the title who dabbles with nature to construct a being.
In this movie, directed by Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale portrays the monster while Jessie Buckley plays his bride. The story unfolds in 1930s Chicago, where a deceased woman is resurrected during a period of significant societal transformation.
