New “F-cking Nuts” ‘Dracula’ Movie Gets Bonkers Trailer Crammed With AI Content, Violence, and Things You Just Cannot Unsee

Most people are familiar with the story of *Dracula*, and there have been countless movie and TV adaptations of Bram Stoker’s famous vampire novel. However, Radu Jude’s new take on the story, released by independent distributor 1-2 Special, promises something different. Described as an “Absurdist, AI-Laced” version of *Dracula*, the film is best understood through its official description, which states:

As a movie buff, I’m really intrigued by this new film! It’s about a filmmaker who starts experimenting with AI, and it takes him down some wild paths. Think Dracula, but not as you know it. We’re talking everything from classic vampire hunts and zombie mayhem to a totally bizarre scene of Dracula hitting the picket line! There’s even a sci-fi take on Vlad the Impaler coming back, an adaptation of an old Romanian vampire story, a heartbreaking romance, and some seriously weird, AI-generated additions. It sounds like a crazy mix of old legends and new tech – I’m definitely checking it out!

What is Radu Jude’s ‘Dracula’?

It’s nearly impossible to explain the concept behind this wildly unconventional and one-of-a-kind take on a classic Gothic horror novel, beyond simply describing what the story is about. It’s hard to even categorize it, really.

Despite being filled with explicit content – sex, violence, AI-generated imagery, and a surprising amount of vampire fangs and nudity – the movie still manages to last a full 170 minutes. One reviewer described the experience as similar to having a crude, old poem rewritten by an AI like ChatGPT.

This version of *Dracula* isn’t meant to be taken seriously at all. The movie’s narrator, Adonis Tanta, helps guide the story – explaining from a bare cell in a bathrobe that he’s been tasked with making a new *Dracula* film using artificial intelligence. As a result, the movie features elements that Hollywood is currently trying to avoid. In fact, the film seems to exist primarily to demonstrate that an AI takeover would be a bizarre and unwelcome future – and that it’s best kept as a satirical joke, fully aware of its own silliness.

The movie *Dracula* currently has a 69% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and will be shown in select U.S. theaters starting October 29th.
