New “electrifying” London-set crime series with Tom Hardy shares exciting cast update
Guy Ritchie’s latest organized crime series featuring Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren has revealed some fresh faces joining the already stellar lineup of actors.
Exclusively, Digital Spy announces the addition of Geoff Bell from “Top Boy,” Lisa Dwan known for “Bloodlands,” Daniel Betts of “Gentleman Jack,” and Emily Barber who starred in “Industry” to the list of previously announced names.
The storyline revolves around two feuding families, each with a worldwide network of illegal activities. Hardy takes on the role of the unwaveringly loyal “mediator,” tasked with shielding one of the dominant criminal groups no matter what the circumstances demand.
In addition, we’ve introduced fresh character backgrounds. Bell portrays a powerful figure leading an emerging gang based in south London, while Betts steps into the role of the eldest offspring of Maeve, a character presumed to be the matriarch of one of the crime clans.
The latest Guy Ritchie undertaking is being called “strikingly energetic,” and at the moment, it’s being shot right here in London.
Previously, it was shared that Hardy and Mirren will be joined by an impressive ensemble cast. I, as a fan, can’t help but get excited about the addition of Pierce Brosnan, known for his role in Mamma Mia!, Joanne Froggatt from Liar, Paddy Considine who graced House of the Dragon, Mandeep Dhillon from After Life, Jasmine Jobson from Top Boy, Lara Pulver from The Split, and Anson Boon from 1917. What a lineup!
Apart from Guy Ritchie, Tom Hardy is also recognized as an executive producer. A group of producers involved in shows like Yellowstone, The Agency, Lioness, The Day of the Jackal, and others are working together on this project too.
The show is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Paramount+ sometime in 2025; however, the specific launch date remains undecided as of now.
Currently, it’s known that Tom Hardy will soon be involved in another television production. He has been confirmed as the narrator for a three-part documentary titled “Special Forces: Most Memorable Missions“, set to air on Paramount+.
The new Guy Ritchie project will arrive on Paramount+ in 2025.
