New Dragon Ball Anime Will Be All About Vegeta

Dragon Ball Super 2 Will Focus on Vegeta More Than Ever

Vegeta is a popular character who could carry his own show, and with Dragon Ball anime making a comeback, now’s a great time to explore that possibility. While details are still upcoming from Iyoku’s recent announcement, many believe it could be a new movie. If not a movie, the next Dragon Ball anime could either continue the story of Dragon Ball Super or follow up on Dragon Ball DAIMA.

I’m so hyped if the next anime season is Dragon Ball Super Part 2! As a longtime fan, I’ve been following the manga, and it’s way ahead of where the anime left off. Honestly, I fully expect the anime to adapt the manga arcs that Toyotarou and Toriyama have already created. And let me tell you, these upcoming arcs are shaping up to be even bigger and more epic than anything we’ve seen in Dragon Ball Super so far!

Vegeta is poised to be the star of the next phase of Dragon Ball Super. Although Goku will have important scenes, Vegeta’s new Ultra Ego transformation is generating the most excitement. We’ll also see Vegeta fully resolve his past mistakes, particularly his actions involving the Namekians, during the Moro Saga. While fans would love a storyline focused solely on Vegeta, seeing the upcoming arcs of Dragon Ball Super animated is the next best thing.

Even a Dragon Ball DAIMA Sequel Has Room For More Vegeta

Even with the recent exciting announcements, many suspect the reveal at the Genki Damatsuri event won’t be what everyone expects. Akio Iyoku, a producer on the Dragon Ball DAIMA anime, established Capsule Corp Tokyo to oversee the rights to Akira Toriyama’s work outside of Shueisha. Since Shueisha controls the rights to the Dragon Ball Super manga, it’s possible their restrictions are still delaying the production of a new DBS anime.

I’ve heard whispers about a secret deal between Capsule Corp Tokyo and Shueisha, but neither company has ever officially confirmed it. From what I understand, the current situation makes continuing Dragon Ball DAIMA seem like the easier path forward, compared to making a second part of Dragon Ball Super. Plus, DAIMA ended on a huge cliffhanger, leaving plenty of room for a sequel to wrap things up and fill in the missing pieces.

In the finale of DAIMA, only Goku achieved the Super Saiyan 4 form. If the anime continues, it’s likely Vegeta will eventually reach a similar level, as he always has throughout the series. Introducing a new fusion using the Demon Realm Fuse Bugs from DAIMA would be a great way to build towards that moment. Ultimately, Dragon Ball DAIMA 2 seems poised to give Vegeta a chance to impress fans with a powerful new transformation.

Vegeta, a beloved character in the Dragon Ball series, deserves to be the focus of a story, and it finally seems like that moment is coming.
