New Celebrity Bake Off judge ‘revealed’ ahead of upcoming series – and you’ll definitely recognise her

Celebrity Bake Off is heating up – and a brand new judge is reportedly joining the tent.

In 2026, the upcoming television show will feature celebrated pastry chef Cherish Finden, aged 57, taking on the role of a judge, as reported by The Sun.

Known for her straightforward demeanor on Bake Off: The Professionals, Chef Cherish boasts over two decades of culinary expertise amassed globally, as evidenced by multiple awards and her trusty apron.

Once a winner at the Culinary Olympics, she now holds the position of Executive Pastry Chef at London’s prestigious Langham Hotel. She is widely recognized as one of the leading authorities on afternoon tea in the United Kingdom.

In 2016, she became a contestant on Bake Off: The Professionals. Since then, she’s won over many fans with her incisive criticism and impeccable baking standards.

Originating from Singapore, Cherish started employment at the tender age of 14, swiftly finding a place in the kitchen. At 16 years old, she furthered her skills by attending a culinary school.

Later, she honed her skills at several distinguished hotels in Singapore, such as the renowned six-star Raffles.

Over the years, Cherish has made numerous appearances on popular cooking shows such as MasterChef UK, Australian MasterChef, Junior Bake Off, An Extra Slice, and Heston’s Great British Food on Channel 4.

Not only did she bake, but she also crafted a cake resembling Windsor Castle as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on her 90th birthday.

TopMob has contacted Channel 4 and Cherish’s representative for comment.

The new position arises following Prue Leith, who is 85 years old, deciding to step down from all the Great British Bake Off specials earlier in the year.

During the latest series, food writer Caroline Waldegrave, aged 72, temporarily took on the role that had previously been held by her.

On “This Morning”, Prue affirmed the news, clarifying that she’d stay on the primary program along with Paul Hollywood (aged 59), though she won’t feature in any spin-off shows.

The upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special is already shaping up to be a star-studded affair.

Actress Ambika Mod, aged 29, who gained popularity from roles in ‘This Is Going To Hurt’ and ‘One Day’, is said to be joining forces with popular Geordie Shore personality Vicky Pattison, aged 37.

Additionally, we have comedian Babatunde Aleshe (age 38), influencer Molly-Mae Hague (age 26 from Love Island), and ex-Celebrity Big Brother participant JoJo Siwa (age 22) joining the roster.

A diverse group will include RAG ‘N’ Bone Man (aged 40), broadcaster Edith Bowman (51), and frequent 8 Out of 10 Cats guest Jon Richardson (42). They are all set to face the judgment of Cherish and Paul within the renowned Bake Off tent.

The Great British Bake Off typically airs on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
