Within just a few months of the initial chairperson of the Duke of Sussex’s eco-friendly travel initiative, Travalyst, stepping down after serving for approximately 1.5 years, the company’s CEO has also chosen to resign.

Sally Davey has communicated to Prince Harry that she plans to resign in December. ‘This news comes as a significant setback for Travalyst,’ a source reveals. ‘Sally played a vital role in the organization’s growth.’

In the year 2019, Harry initiated Travalyst with a mission to green up the tourism industry. Yet, Harry and his wife, Meghan, found themselves under scrutiny due to their frequent travels by carbon-intensive private planes.

That year, the couple reportedly made four journeys by private jet in the space of 11 days.

At that moment, Prince Charles’s younger brother spoke up, expressing that ‘perfection doesn’t exist’ and emphasizing the importance of maintaining a ‘balanced approach’.

After five years as CEO, Davey shares that her significant decision was the result of thorough contemplation. She acknowledges that this choice wasn’t made casually, ‘It hasn’t been an easy decision.’ Following extended periods of introspection, she realizes that at this stage in her life, she requires more time for her family and personal growth.

For Harry, she expresses her enduring gratitude for his backing, particularly during the challenging personal decision to withdraw. She is proud of the partnership and achievements. Though relinquishing the CEO role, her dedication to Travalyst’s purpose remains unwavering.

In reference to Harry, she says that she will forever be thankful for his assistance, especially during her difficult personal choice to step back. She takes pride in what they have accomplished together. Although she is stepping down as CEO, her commitment to Travalyst’s mission remains as strong as ever.

Back in January, I shared news about India Gary-Martin stepping down as the initial chair of Travalyst. To be honest, it’s not really a shocker to some who follow the business dealings of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, given that 19 high-ranking staff members had already departed by then.

Over the past summer, it was revealed that Josh Kettler unexpectedly resigned from his position as Harry’s top aide, having only served for about three months.

Since their marriage in 2018, Harry and Meghan have experienced such a high turnover rate among their senior staff that ex-employees allegedly refer to themselves as members of the ‘Sussex Ex-Staff Association’.
