In simple terms, the game development studio MercurySteam has shared a fresh video teaser for their upcoming action game called “Blades of Fire“. This intense hack-and-slash title is scheduled to launch in May.
This fresh video spotlights the game’s fighting aspect, which emphasizes various postures and techniques – primarily, slashing and jabbing. Each stance offers unique benefits depending on the opponent you’re facing.
In a friendly color scheme, your allies are marked in green if your approach is favorable, while those who oppose you are highlighted in red when your style isn’t preferred. Additionally, it’s essential to keep track of the terrain; if you’re positioned higher than your adversaries, you will have an advantageous position.
The game shares some similarities with Ubisoft’s For Honor, but it places a stronger emphasis on detailed upgrade systems and the ability to customize weapon attributes.
Check out the video below. The description reads:
As a seasoned gamer, let me share my insights on the battle system in Blades of Fire. Here’s where all that weapon mastery and blacksmithing knowledge comes into play!
Blades of Fire is out 22nd May, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
