Marvel just released a new teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, giving fans their first glimpse of Chris Hemsworth returning as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer was previously shown exclusively in theaters before Avatar: Fire and Ash, but is now available online. The movie is expected to hit theaters next year.
I was so excited to hear Hemsworth was coming back as Thor – we last saw him in Thor: Love and Thunder back in 2022! But the new trailer finally gave us our first glimpse of him actually as Thor again, and it looks amazing!
The trailer shows Thor praying to his father, Odin, seemingly getting ready to fight a new villain—likely Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.

Marvel recently announced the lineup for the next Avengers team in the upcoming Doomsday movie. The team will include Captain America, Thor, Shang-Chi, Falcon, Ant-Man, and surprisingly, Loki.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released on 18 December 2026.
