Just a few days after its debut, Jon Hamm’s latest Apple TV+ series titled “Your Friends & Neighbors” is now a popular streaming choice among viewers.
In the thrilling series, the former Mad Men actor takes on the role of Andrew Cooper, a hedge fund manager who resorts to burglarizing neighboring houses to maintain his family’s standard of living following his termination from work.
Yet, he uncovers that the hidden scandals and clandestine activities masked by the opulent appearances could pose a threat greater than he had initially thought.
The initial two episodes of “Your Friends & Neighbors” debuted on Apple TV+ on 11th April and have swiftly climbed to the top of their rankings, displacing Ben Stiller’s popular show “Severance” into the second position.
The third installment comes out this Friday, 18th of April, with a fresh one released every week up until the 30th of May.
The show has garnered significant acclaim, boasting a commendable rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 42 reviews when this article was penned.
The Playlist referred to it as an “irresistibly engaging marathon viewing,” and Variety commended Hamm for his “outstanding portrayal of a man contemplating the ruins of his identity.
The reviewer’s sharp and humorous take on “Breaking Bad” is found in the comments of “Your Friends & Neighbors”, although it occasionally falters, it still boasts a captivating central figure played by Jon Hamm, according to the site’s critical consensus.
Ahead of season one’s release, Apple already renewed the show for a second instalment.
