New action thriller branded “a mess” and a “waste of top talent” is now trending in the UK
An action thriller dubbed a “mess” by viewers is now trending in the UK.
Currently, “The Tin Soldier,” featuring Scott Eastwood and Jamie Foxx, ranks as the sixth most-viewed movie on Amazon Prime Video. However, it received a fairly indifferent response when it initially premiered.
In the direction of Brad Furman, the movie portrays The Bokushi, played by Jamie Foxx, a charismatic figure who has built an army of ex-military personnel under his guidance, having promised security and meaning in their lives to numerous veterans.

The plot goes on to reveal: “Following multiple unsuccessful infiltration operations, the government, represented by military operative Emmanuel Ashburn (Robert De Niro), enlists Nash Cavanaugh (Eastwood), a former special forces operative with ties to The Bokushi as a mentor.
As a devoted admirer, I can say that I’ve decided to tap into my troubled past and exclusive understanding of the elusive leader, with the aim of exacting long-overdue retribution against the individual who stripped me of everything, including the one I loved dearly.
Although it has gained some traction on Amazon Prime, the film titled “Tin Soldier” received an unimpressive 3.3 rating out of 10 on IMDb, often being criticized as a “disorganized chaos” and a “misuse of exceptional talent.
The movie was chaotic and remains so, making it more enjoyable for me and others to watch ants in their natural or simulated environments instead.
Another individual commented: “This movie fails to sensitively handle PTSD, instead combining it with a nonsensical Jones cult narrative that seems unclear and poorly translated. Regrettably, both the production and editing are flawed, resulting in a disjointed and confusing mess that leaves one questioning whether the filmmaker themselves may have experienced PTSD as well.
The review went on to say: “The performance persisted: Such a pity to see the brilliant talent of Robert De Niro wasted, as his unconvincing character lacked depth. Scott Eastwood, who often seems to gravitate towards subpar roles (even though he gives it his all in this absurd movie), was another disappointment. The most amusing Razzie nomination of the year goes to Jamie Foxx, portraying a character that is a strange blend of Carrot Top and 70s Shaft, with an atrocious wig to top it off.
Users found it baffling and referred to it as meaningless junk, and it received little praise from professional reviewers.
Scott Eastwood, a troubled military veteran, teams up with a secret operation to invade a cult’s fortified base filled with traumatized former soldiers. However, this action film leaves viewers feeling disappointed rather than thrilled.
Similarly, Ready Steady Cut stated, “I’m completely clueless about the origin, distribution, and reasoning behind the release of Tin Soldier.
Tin Soldier is streaming now on Prime Video.
