Neve Campbell recently shared that she was once offered the lead role of Lara Croft in the 2001 film Tomb Raider. Campbell is best known for her iconic portrayal of Sidney Prescott in the Scream movies.

Working on Party of Five was incredibly demanding – it consumed ten months out of every year for six years. Despite the intense schedule, I truly appreciate all the opportunities I’ve been given.
Angelina Jolie ultimately landed the part and later reprised her role in the 2003 sequel, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life.

The Tomb Raider franchise returned to cinemas in 2018 with a new film starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft.
Sophie Turner is filming a new Tomb Raider series for Prime Video, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for Fleabag, is the showrunner.
Campbell also revealed she was cast in 2001’s Pearl Harbour alongside Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett.
The actress shared: “I went in, I kicked ass on that audition.
I studied Japanese and even used it during my audition – I had my lines translated and practiced speaking them in Japanese. I was thrilled to get the part, but it turned out to be too difficult, even though I tried my best!

Campbell can currently be seen in Scream 7 which hit UK cinemas last week.
Neve Campbell is back as Sidney Prescott in the latest Scream movie, returning to the series after previously declining a role in Scream VI due to disagreements about her salary.
In the newest installment of the slasher franchise, Sidney, who has started a new life far from Woodsboro, must once again face danger when a new Ghostface threatens her daughter.
The film hasn’t been well-received by critics and currently has a low 34% score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the worst-performing movie in the series so far.
Digital Spy rated the film two stars, noting that Scream 7 had all the necessary ingredients to be a great Scream movie.
Sadly, the new movie feels repetitive, uninspired, and ultimately quite ordinary – which is the worst thing that could happen to a Scream film.
Scream 7 is out now in UK and US cinemas.
I’m so excited! The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautiful, full-color magazine celebrating Taylor Swift, is finally out! It’s 100 pages long and you can grab a copy at newsagents or online for only £8.99. I’m definitely getting one!
