Netmarble is releasing a new action game called Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi later this year in Japan. The game, based on the popular manga and anime series Shangri-La Frontier, is the first video game adaptation and is being developed by Netmarble Nexus for Android, iOS, and PC.

Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi looks to be a true adaptation of the beloved world from the original story. The game, based on Katarina’s popular series, was first shown in 2022, and received a full announcement – including the title and how it will play – in July 2025.

What I love most about this game as a fan is how it builds on the anime’s world, especially through its focus on the seven incredible Colossi. You’ll also meet a lot of interesting characters and fight these massive bosses using a unique battle system where you switch between two characters.

I was really excited by the recent introduction of the monster Wezaemon the Tombguard in the latest trailer, and it’s made me even more interested in the game. The graphics are beautiful, the combat seems fun, and having a great voice cast for characters like Sunraku is a huge plus. It all looks really promising, and I’m hoping we’ll see the game released worldwide this year.

The mobile and PC game, Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, will be released in Japan in 2026. It’s not available for download yet, but keep an eye out for future announcements!
