As a seasoned gamer with a knack for musical performances and a soft spot for holiday specials, I must say that the upcoming Netflix festive spectacle, A Nonsense Christmas, has piqued my interest like a freshly-lit yule log on a cold winter’s night. The star-studded cast, featuring the likes of Chappell Roan, Quinta Brunson, Tyla, Shania Twain, and many more, is a veritable smorgasbord of talent that I can’t wait to feast my eyes on.
The upcoming holiday special from Sabrina Carpenter on Netflix, titled “A Nonsense Christmas“, recently unveiled some esteemed guest stars in the latest preview.
The clip was aired during the singer’s concert in Inglewood on Monday (November 18), with the gig being the last on the US leg of her Short n’ Sweet Tour.
The trailer offered a brief teaser at some of the guest stars in the special, with the list including Chappell Roan, Quinta Brunson, Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, Kyle Mooney, Cara Delevingne, Nico Hiraga, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele and Jillian Bell.
At “A Nonsense Christmas,” Carpenter sings tracks from her holiday album titled “Fruitcake” along with popular seasonal favorites. The performance features humorous guest appearances and surprising duets, adding to the fun.
She expressed her delight in a statement released after the announcement, saying, “The holidays have always held a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to share my unique blend of music and humor for a classic holiday variety show, making it truly mine.” (via Deadline)
On December 6th, Netflix is set to debut the release of this production, and last week, Carpenter unveiled the poster for it on her official social media platforms. The image shows the singer adorned in a Santa Claus costume, perched comfortably on a star.
She wrote on Twitter: “I’ve never been in a room with Santa Claus. A Nonsense Christmas is coming to @netflix on December 6 at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT, see you there!” The official Netflix account replied: “Santa was actually a carpenter.
Supporters of the artist showed their enthusiasm for the event by commenting exuberantly, with one saying: “WE’LL BE ALL SET AND READY TO HAVE A GREAT TIME!
“A new queen of Christmas is coming, Sabrina,” added a second fan.
