Netflix’s Peaky Blinders movie title has been revealed
As a seasoned gamer of the Peaky Blinders saga, I must admit that my heart skipped a beat upon hearing the news of the upcoming movie titled “The Immortal Man”. My gaming journey with these characters feels more like an epic quest than mere entertainment, and I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation bordering on anxiety.
The official title of Netflix’s upcoming Peaky Blinders movie has been confirmed.
Picking up where the previous installment left off, this upcoming movie takes place some years following the events depicted in the season six finale, focusing on the Shelby family as they navigate through World War II.
It’s been officially verified that the long-speculated title for the upcoming movie is “The Immortal Man.” This confirmation comes from Nadia Stacey, a crew member working on the project who previously posted an illustration showing Cillian Murphy reprising his character, Tommy Shelby, and Barry Keoghan in a yet-to-be-revealed role.
Immortal Man – a Peaky Blinders film. One of my all-time favorite projects, I shared on Instagram.
Back in August, Keoghan was chosen for an upcoming film, but we haven’t yet learned who his character will be.
He has, however, teased that fans are in for a treat, saying in an interview with Josh Horowitz last month: “I read the script, and it’s epic. It’s so f**king epic.”
In addition to Keoghan, other fresh faces joining the cast for the next movie are Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo. Meanwhile, some familiar faces reprising their roles include Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck.
Currently, Murphy has shared that he’s been catching up on the BBC historical series prior to the launch of his new project, “The Immortal Man”.
He said to GQ, “Ever since I began working on it, being a producer on ‘Peaky’, I feel it’s almost obligatory. It somehow makes the process less daunting. It was truly enjoyable watching it, as the series turned out to be quite impressive.
Yet, he added that returning to the series became a painful experience after the demise of Helen McCrory, the actress portraying Polly, in the year 2021.
He mentioned that it was equally sad since he was witnessing Helen McCrory, but unfortunately, she passed away.
Instead of being fully immersed in it, you can step back, observe, and think, “Ah, this is the kind of ambiance we’re aiming for. This is the visual style we require, this is the outline, and this is the vitality we need from it.” For the film, we must amplify these elements, clearly.
The Immortal Man does not yet have a release date.
