We’ve gotten our first glimpse of Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle reprising their roles in the new Peaky Blinders movie. Titled The Immortal Man, the film will hit theaters in early March, followed by its release on Netflix later that month.
Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Tommy Shelby, emerging from a period of self-imposed isolation. The story will shift to the backdrop of World War II, where he’ll be forced to deal with his personal struggles and decide whether to embrace his past or destroy it completely.
Graham returns as Hayden Stagg and Rundle as Ada Thorne, and we’ve gotten a first look at them in new photos – Graham is pictured with Tommy.

We’ve gotten a first look at Tim Roth as his new character, Beckett, and also at Elija, played by Jay Lycurgo, who is joining the cast.
Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan are joining the cast, along with returning actors Packy Lee and Ian Peck, who will reprise their roles as Johnny Dogs and Curly.

Tom Harper directed the series, and Steven Knight, who created the show, wrote the screenplay. Knight has mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to alter his original plans for how the story would end.
He told the Radio Times that his only initial idea was to set the story between the two World Wars – starting right after the First World War and finishing when the Second World War began.

The pandemic forced us to cancel season seven, so instead of finishing the story at World War II as planned, we created a film that’s coming out shortly and beautifully covers that period.
After the movie wrapped up Tommy’s storyline, the series will continue for two more seasons, focusing on a new generation growing up in the aftermath of the war-torn 1950s Birmingham.
